Log; On going
When; Tuesday, September fifth, in the late afternoon/early evening.
Rating; G
Characters; Yakushi Kabuto
snake_servant and Tenten
weaponed
Summary; Kabuto tries to figure out what his situation with Shizune is with help from Tenten
Log;
Cafe Juliet, Kabuto was here again. Funny considering the reason he was here again.
He was sitting at a little, out of the way table where no one could overhear whatever conversation went on unless they were trying exceptionally hard. Tenten had agreed to speak to him, and for that he was grateful. Though, it was odd to him that he was getting along with Konoha ninja a lot more recently, over all it was probably a good thing. He never really had anything against them, he just wasn't too supportive of some of their ideals.
Kabuto wasn't too sure about talking to someone about his problems, but this was a situation that all of his training had never prepared him for, and in all honesty a sixteen year old probably had a better idea of what was going on that he did. Everyone had their weaknesses after all, this must be his.
Taking a sip of his tea, he tried to get his thoughts in order. A calm exterior was the key to a calm interior.

But she'd offered to hear him out, and she wouldn't go back on that. "But, I'd say you really liked her. And you're probably more worried than anything else." The last person she'd given relationship advice to had been Lee... And that had been more of a 'back up and leave her the hell alone before she stabs you' sort of advice.
"I don't know how Shizune feels but she's probably just... confused. Needs time. Doesn't want to be pushed into anything. And probably feels like you're not telling her everything." Tenten did not want to become the go between, at any rate. It was hard enough watching from the sidelines.

She flicked the knife absentmindedly as she waited for his response, already aware of the answer.
"...But, you know," she added, feeling it was better to say it than leave it, "when it comes to it, it's between the two of you. And she'll feel better if you deal with it yourself, without outside influence. No one can tell you how to feel, after all."

"I know this is between the two of us, I'm just... worried." Kabuto decided to drop it there. This was helping, but it wasn't.
"I owe you for all of this though, can I buy something for you to eat? Now or another time if you'd prefer."
no subject
"It's really... none of my business, but I think... You should try to be more honest. With everyone." Tenten shrugged, sliding out of her seat slowly. "Orochimaru's presence probably isn't helping you much."
no subject
"Orochimaru sama he... I..." Kabuto didn't know what to say on that subject, there wasn't anything he could say without giving away important information. "It's more complicated than this, but so far he hasn't caused trouble, or given any orders. So he's not an issue."
He stood too, leaving the money for his tea on the table.

"Look, I'm not going to fight him, or do anything to provoke him, but if he pulls anything... All bets are off." She would have liked to trust Kabuto, she really would. And she'd like nothing more than to find an exit and get out of the City without having to fight at all. Underground monsters aside. "Shizune's probably worried about what he'll do too. It's a sensitive subject. So.. just, be careful. Right?"
no subject
"I know she's worried, we spoke of that, and again, it's something I will handle when the time comes." Kabuto answered a little more softly. "Just, take the same advice, be careful, no matter what you do concerning Orochimaru sama."
"I'll let you get going, thank you again Tenten san."
no subject
She shrugged, waving nonchalantly as she headed for the door. "Don't worry about it. I offered to hear you out, after all."
