Log: Ongoing
When; September 6th, night
Rating; Errr.. R for violence and language? Might change later.
Characters; Rangiku
10thdiv_haineko, Luppi
avengerous and Kuja
purple_trance
Summary; Does a fight really need a summary?
Log;
Rangiku took the time to look over the area near the carousel from her rooftop home, remembering lessons that had been pounded into her by time spent under the command of several captains. She’s sure the fight won’t stay in that area, but she’ll handle that if and when it comes. Haineko vibrated at her side, obviously eager to have something worthwhile to do, so she cleared her mind and stepped off the rooftop, springing to the location they’d agreed on.
The ground was solid under her feet when she landed, her head swinging around to see if her opponents were already waiting for her. Seeing no one, she crossed her arms over her ample bosom and stood, patiently waiting.

He spotted the shinigami immediately and approached the carousel casually, looking unconcerned.
"I think we're late, Kuja," he said to his companion, eventually stopping a safe distance away from the woman.

"It would appear so," Kuja replied, brushing his hair out of his eyes with a flourish. "But it is always best to be fashionably late, don't you think?"

"A lady?" he repeated mock innocuously, staring at the woman. "I don't see one here. Just a whore."
no subject
He was not entirely aware of what his new ally had against the woman. But it really didn't matter to him - trouble was trouble, and part of him longed to be in the middle of whatever trouble he could help create. Especially if he thought the odds were in his favor.
Kuja hadn't bothered bringing a weapon to the fight. He might not get completley involved - he hadn't decided just yet.
For now, he said nothing - he was enjoying himself fine without speaking.

Silently, she assessed her opponents with calm eyes. After several moments of silence, her lips curled up into a smile.

"It's going to be fun ripping you apart," he said in a playful yet cold tone. "Any last requests, shinigami?"

Her tone matched his.
Slowly, she pulled Haineko free, the smile growing as she settled into a defensive posture. She was content to wait for now.
"Aizen said you're easily replaceable. It doesn't bother you that he doesn't care about how you end up?"
no subject
Indeed, he didn't. Aizen-sama was the furthest thing from his mind. He knew he could win this fight even without Kuja, but it was so rare to find someone who shared his taste for death. It really couldn't even be called a challenge.
He slowly drew his zanpakuto.
"Trepadora," he said, as if speaking to a long intimate friend, "kubire."
Transformation. Eight tentacles emerged from his back, one by one, which he mainly did because it was more aesthetically pleasing for him.
Then he chuckled, hiding his mouth with his sleeve. A moment later, he sent three of his tentacles straight at the shinigami.

His laughter was as dark as the look on his face, betraying his actual lack of boredom. He hadn't yet seen what his charming new friend could do. And even he had to admit - he was impressed.
Oh, Zidane. You just wait until I bring this to you, little brother.
His laughter grew as he imagined what this could mean - what he could accomplish.
His blue eyes sparkled with malevolence. His hair fell over them again as he lifted his head a little higher. Power crackled in the air around him....
But he did not strike. Not yet.
Not yet.

Her feet touched back down to see if it had any effect, but she knew she would more than likely need to be on her way quickly.

"Kuja," he called, savage laughter clear in his voice. He felt the spell hit his makeshift shield. "Aren't you going to join in on the fun?"

He raised his hands and formed the energy he'd been collecting into ice crystals - little tiny ones. He sent the ice crystals towards the woman, with every intent of fusing them into bigger ice crystals - around whatever they came in contact with.
no subject
"Unare, Haineko."
The blade dissolved into the ash it was named for, the cloud rising to meet the barely visible ice from the other man. The smile inched up as the ash cleared away the crystals, and she couldn't help but shoot him an amused look before she directed the ash to the Arrancar, shyunpo'ing out of range of his onslaught from above.

He moved farther from Luppi and his tentacles, and closer to Rangiku. Her sword did not really phase him.
He formed the energy into something different, this time - something darker.
no subject
"Bitch," he growled under his breath, eyes dark and body rigid with tension. His tentacles unfurled, grew longer, and drew up like claws readying themselves for attack.
He didn't waste time to admire Kuja's magic, since the battle high already had him. Luppi knew the shinigami would take avantage of the opportunity if his attention lingered elsewhere for longer than necessary. Instead, his tentacles shot out in wide archs towards the damnable wench.
Let's see if she could dodge all eight attacking from different angles.
no subject
The attack came from as many angles as he could cover, so she spared a quick flicker of her eyes to see just where she could go. With a gesture, she directed the ash to separate and move on each of her opponents.
Just as she was about to 'step' out of the way, something like a heavy weight pushed at her, slowing her down. A flash of panic crossed her mind.
NO.
Desperately, she wrenches herself away from the abnormal gravity, glaring over at the spellcaster as she moves.
no subject
His blue eyes were icy as he looked at Rangiku. There was no need to go easy, now.
One more spell, then.
It was just too bad he couldn't make it the spell.
But, well, that might hurt Luppi, too, and he wasn't ready to have Luppi be an unfortunate casualty.
The energy crackled, sparkled, grew.
Kuja's eyes reflected the lightning as it struck.
