He finds himself walking along the beach that morning, at the time they always trained. He expects the sunset, the sand, the shells and seagulls- but he doesn't exactly expect the body slumped over on the shore. There's something in the lines that suggested that the body wasn't lying there on purpose. He rushes over- and the outfit's too familiar for him to mistake it.]
Leon!
[He drops next to him, checking his pulse- gone. Cold. He doesn't want to believe it, but he'll just have to ask whenever the other is unconscious, for now, he lifts Leon's body up in a sitting position, supporting him.]
Hey, can you hear me?

It takes a few moments before his eyes open a little, and he looks at whoever is holding him, but the image is pretty blurry. It looks like-]
...Marian? Why are you-

[Yuri assumes Leon's just lost in the illusion of his world. He digs in a pocket for a gel, still supporting him.]
You're back in the City, Leon. She's not here.

[He seems confused, and he struggles to sit up a little more, hand reaching to his head. He coughs, spitting up a little water - he can still almost feel like he was drowning.]
What about the cave and everyone--
[But then it starts to come back to him, at first just a trickle of memories and then a rush. And the cold becomes apparent to him. So, so cold.]
Why- I'm... dead again? What the hell is going on?

[Yuri offers him the two lemon gels, expression serious.]
Sorry. Do you need these?

What a nuisance- I have no recollection of what happened.
[He clenches his fists, taking note that his weapons still aren't here. That's right- the deity trade. He doesn't have Chal - he's utterly useless and still unable to fight.]
How long was I gone? ...Did I tell you anything about Erther when I was here last time?

About two weeks.
You've told me bits and pieces. Why?

[Doesn't answer the question, just sets about to wringing the water out of his cape before he turns towards the beach house. Home. Sort of- it's really the only thing left that he could call an actual home. He begins walking, expecting Yuri to follow and fill him in on the things he said.
Because when he tries to think about the last time, the memories are fuzzy, names are just beyond his grasp. He remembered being alive but he couldn't find the memory of why he had been.]

[He places a hand on his hip as he, yes, follows Leon to the beach house.]
You said it wasn't supposed to happen.

[Leon threads his fingers through his hair as it begins to dry, tangled from the seawater. And if Yuri was pay attention, he was massaging his temple and looking slightly irritated and troubled over the fact his memories were fine except for the ones involving why he'd been alive.]

[Yuri smiles softly, glad to know Leon was still his same self]
It's not like you to forget, though. Wonder what happened.

[Crossing arms over chest as he walks.]
I wouldn't just forget.
no subject
Just glad to have you back, Leon.
