Dean pulls the Impala up behind the building Sam is in and dials the kid's number. He sits and waits for him to come out, engine idling. He's got a couple of six packs of beer in the back of the car and half a pie that Jo brought for him. They're set to wait out termin-angel.

"Come on Sammy," he mutters and fiddles with the radio until AC/DC 'Highway to Hell' comes up.

"Oh, no way. Dad would kill both of us," Sam jokes, but he still says it fondly. The Impala is the most important thing to ever exist, right? And as long as they had her, it didn't matter where in the country they went; they always had home right there with them. And John really would kill them if they lost it, which Sam might not really mind cuz it'd give them a chance to see him again.
