[ It's early in the morning, far too early to be out in the streets like this, but Emil is out anyway en route to his apartment. His throat is still raw from the whole day of saying "Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality" over and over again. He doesn't remember the whole of it actually, but he kind of feels sorry for Ratatosk now for going through that. He believes in that statement, even if it was from Richter and Richter was... doing something bad. He's sure Ratatosk hated saying it knowing that it was from Richter.

He stops and looks up, and then mutters. ]

Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality... huh?

[ This is kind of awkward and immediately, Emil is wondering what to do... ]

[ He looks away anxiously. Yeah, not much for real. ]

[ He looks down and then... looks up at Yuri. It's nothing to be flustered about. ]

Basically... after I [ Ratatosk, but they were one and the same ] killed Aster... Richter got mad and attacked me.

I was injured then and... I took on Aster's form so that I could escape them...

[ he pauses. Maybe it'll be better if he got to the gist of it. ]

I'm just a fake personality Ratatosk created to protect himself. It was hard to believe at first, but I remember now.

He did... I'm just not him. I think that he died during the Blood Purge.

I just... filled in for him and made up memories.

Tenebrae still calls me Emil too... it'd be weird if everyone started calling me Ratatosk.

[ He blinks and then looks down. He thinks while he talks- ]

I have to go back home first, but it doesn't look like that's happening soon... so it'll be me and Ratatosk together here... like this.

[Can't stand the thought of Emil... getting hurt in any way, despite him being a summon spirit, now.]

I'm not at my full power yet, though... I know that we still have to get Aqua on our side too... but she's sided with Richter right now.

[ He remembers it... It's Ratatosk's memory, but it's also his... He talks as if it's his alone. He'll take responsibility for it- ]

When I woke up, I was angry about the Giant Kharlan Tree dying and then being sealed after all that time...

Aster was innocent... but I-

[ and he continues seriously. ]

I wanted to destroy all humans and half-elves.

[ his voice shakes a bit, because it's a hard truth to swallow... that a part of him wanted just that, and Ratatosk probably still felt like that... He was afraid. ]
