It takes Lucy a moment to orient herself. Everything is coated in blood and pain and shock makes her whirl. She can't think. She can't comprehend what happened. Hunger eats away at shock so that it over rides everything and sends her hunting. She's not very good at it and she probably looks a bit like a drunk, raving lunatic tearing through town looking for something to satisfy her hunger. Anyonething will do.

[ooc: Because I'm forced to be uber organized this weekend. I'm putting up threads for Chris and Menolly then one for the Master & Rido.]

It's a shame that Menolly's in her path as she's currently walking back to her apartment, all ten dragons fluttering along around her. Pausing, it takes her a moment to realize she's looking at Lucy, and while she seems to be a fan of drinking, Menolly didn't think the way she's moving was from a night out.

".... Lucy?"

"Menolly..." She knows she should tell Menolly to run. She knows it. Every bone in her body knows it and yet...

"I don't feel very well..." She reaches for her friend. "Help?"

Without hesitation, Menolly reaches to help Lucy even as Beauty hisses sharply, winging away from the pair of women. The brunette doesn't even glance up at her, thinking she's reacting to something else in the area.

"Come on. Let's get you home."

That's all it takes; Menolly reaching out to her and Lucy pounces, her mouth going to Menolly's neck in a very clumsy, vicious attack. There's more ripping, less neat biting and Lucy's gulps down Menolly's blood, shoving her away when the hunger lessens enough for her to realize what she's doing. "Oh God...I'm sorry. So sorry."

Then she runs.

Menolly's more stunned than anything else, staggering back a few steps as she reaches up to clutch at the fresh bite even as her winged friends shriek after Lucy. Of course, they don't go too far away from their mistress, having the sudden urge to do whatever necessary to protect her.

Lucy doesn't even have the presence of mind to apologize. She runs from the shrieking of the dragons and the knowledge that she's bitten one of the only girl friends she has.

Despite the fact that she's bitten and guzzled, she didn't get enough to really fill her up. Just a little bit more. A little bit more and this time from someone she doesn't know so she won't have to feel guilty.

Early morning and Chris is actually bothering to walk home to sleep in his flat. His big, empty, just-him flat that he really should get around to trading out or something. Or finding a new roommate for.

It's on his trek through the City that he notices the pretty blonde bird, stumbling about by herself on the deserted street. Not safe for her at all, not with her being so tiny and probably fairly pissed if the way she's walking is any indication.

"Miss?" he calls out to her, walking over. "I'm DC Chris Skelton, d'you need 'elp getting home? Y'look like you've 'ad a few too many, love, an' y'shouldn't be out so late by yourself."

Someone else. Maybe he can make this hunger go away. She doesn't know this person but she eagerly waits for him to get close, licking her lips briefly as she does and smiling. She's trying to remember how this goes. There's flirting. He's a stranger so she should flirt. She smiles at him. It's a bit off, a little awkward but it's flirtatious.

"I guess I didn't realize...I think I'm lost. Some help would be awesome. That's nice of you. I got so turned around and I just need--" She pauses, reaching out to him. "Just a little more. I'll be alright then."

Chris is very easily taken in. He frowns briefly, though. "A little more what?" He shakes his head. "Y'shouldn't drink any more. Not in your state." Smiling slightly, he comes up close to Lucy and offers her his arm. "C'mon, luv. Let's get you 'ome. Where d'you live?"

"Yeah...shouldn't drink anymore," Lucy agrees but she's still so hungry. She didn't take near enough of Menolly's blood. She knew Menolly and...

but she doesn't know this guy. Maybe it'll be easier. Maybe...

Maybe...

And she takes Chris' arm, leaning in with her head on his shoulder. He's taller than Menolly so it takes a bit of finagling. She fakes a stumble, grabbing onto him as she does.

Lucy is very pretty, and Chris is therefore rather pleased about the stumbling and grabbing. He braces himself to catch her properly, grinning at her.

"Just go slowly, luv, an' mind your feet. You can lean on me as much as y'like." He is going to have such a story to tell Ray after this.

Such a story. Just not the story he thinks he'll have to tell.

Lucy puts her hand to the back of Chris' neck and nods. "Slowly," she agrees, leaning in to nuzzle his neck. Just a moment, reminding herself to go more slowly then she bites attempting to follow his advice and take it slowly.

So nice of Chris to help her be a better vampire.

Chris is still smiling and looking a little bit stunned at his luck up until about three seconds after she's bitten his neck and he registers it.

"--hey!" he yelps, eyes going wide. "Easy there, luv!" He tries to lean away, still not quite managing to work out that she's doing something a bit more than some overly violent necking. Because cute blond girls just AREN'T vampires. It's meant to be evil-looking blokes, or femme fatale sorts. If vampires existed at all, of course.

The apology she mutters is muffled because well...she's talking with her mouth full but she doesn't let go. She winds her arm around his neck a bit tighter, holding him close. He can probably still pull away, he's just going to have to try a lot harder.

It's a good thing vampires don't exist.

She's covered in their blood and the taste of it lingers in her mouth. She's still starving. She still wants more. She closes her eyes tight and all she can see is rivers and oceans and fountains of blood. She pushes the heels of her hands into her eyes and she knows she wants to kill other people. She wants to eat and feed and never, ever stop.

Which is exactly why she can't go home. She can't go home. She can't stay here. She needs help.

Usually she'd call the Master but even if he does have experience with eating people, she'd rather not infect him with whatever she's already got. Not to mention the whole killing him would be bad thing.

And thinking of the Master and blood and eating people turns her thoughts to the one 'person' who might be able to help her.

She really, really, really doesn't want to see him.

Like really...no.

And yet she finds herself stumbling Underground, using new-found senses to find track him. Scents get mixed up. Senses get jumbled and she doesn't know where he is.

"Lord Rido!"

In a pinch some yelling will do.

The scent of blood had greeted him as he descended from his nightly stroll through the tunnels of the Underground. Human blood, such a delicious aroma, and so out of place. So it was with a natural curiosity that he'd follow it, just like a shark would hone in on a single drop of blood in the water.

But what he hadn't expected was to hear the faint sound of the Master's plaything calling out his name in the distance.

Rido tilted his head, muttering softly under his breath. "Wandering off again where you shouldn't be?" His mouth pressed into a slight frown and he shook his head, resolving to suggest ways for his Favourite to better control his women.

The vampire shoved his hands deeply into the pockets of his long black coat as he casually made his way to the errant Lucy. The Master would owe him for this...

Lucy cocks her head, listening. She realizes she can smell and feel so much more. It's this feeling she follows, coming up on Rido. She doesn't sneak though. She wants him to be aware she's there. She needs it even.

His steps slowed, having her clear in his field of vision, and he couldn't help but to smile. "My, how polite~."

It was a far cry from the last time they'd spoken when she seemed to have some sort of death wish. And Rido would have kindly granted her that, if not for the delayed message that his Favourite had had delivered at the last moment.

Better late than never.

"Why are you down here, Lucy..."

Well you know...

Lucy was scared before and when she's scared she tends to do things like be a smart mouth. It's all about fear and right now she's scared of herself more than she is of Rido. In fact oddly enough right now Rido is comforting and some of her fear over what's happened to her is leaking away in his presence.

"I...I think I killed two people. Plus I think I'm having dental issues. Of the fangy kind. If I go home I might end up biting the Master and I like his teeth the way they are and I figured I'm less likely to bite you. Or...you know I won't care as much if I bite you. Probably also it wouldn't have the same effect."

More respectful? Yes. Less honest? No.

The Pureblood's expression sobered as he listened quietly to her explanation. Even though the stage on which they met was the same as the last time, Lucy was anything if the same as he remembered. At least physically.

Unamused at her exact choice in words, he gazed at her with feigned disinterest. ".... why should I care if you kill people."

"Because if you don't help me, I'll probably go home. Bite the Master and kill him," Lucy responds. She's not entirely sure that she can kill the Master or turn him into a vampire but she wasn't betting against it.

Lucy was right that such a thing would annoy him, if not just for the fact that the Master's blood might be tainted from being transformed into one of the City Dead. And such delicious blood too...

The Pureblood paused, mulling over the pros and cons of involving himself in this matter, and with a sigh, resolved himself to being helpful.

"So, what? You expect me to take you home with me? To look after you? Feed you so you don't attack anyone again?"

Lucy thought about Rido's 'offer'. She wanted to make certain that she knew as much as possible what she was getting into. She had examined her options before coming to search out Rido.

"Basically...yes."
