This plot is officially ending (re: Ray and Tsurugi are being reinstated and Rido is beginning his punishment) on Wednesday, June 30. This log post is to wrap up any loose end that need to be played out, so anything that you don't have any other place for can be popped into a separate thread here. Feel free to make a separate thread, give us some time/place info in the comment headers and have at. Other than that, if you need to branch out from the major stuff, feel free to go wild.

It wasn't the first time Ken had been in the police station as something other than a cop, but it was one of the most awkward times he'd ever been inside the building. Each turn of a corner, he met up with acquaintances, and all of them shifted a little further away as if wary of him, or afraid the 'crazy' would rub off. As much as it pissed Ken off, he was honestly tired of all of it. Right now, though, he wasn't there to start anymore crap. He needed someone to talk to and he silently hoped he didn't end up running into Ray or his friend.

Which means, naturally, that Chris is walking files around and back to the bullpen, exactly in the right place to run into Ken. Stopping dead, he eyes the other man a little bit tensely.

"Ray's been suspended, y'know," he says. "Y'won't find 'im 'ere."

Of course. Sighing, Ken held his hands up as if to show he really meant no harm.

"I know he's not. I'm not looking for him, actually. I... kinda need to talk to someone about the case. Somethings... weird. With the memories," he admitted, shaking his head a little.

Whoa, wait. This sounds like a LEAD. "S'really only me in...in Intel right now," he says, shuffling his files under his arm and taking a notepad and pencil out of his pocket. He doesn't say anything further, but waits, looking up at Ken over the open notepad.

There's a moment where Ken almost tells him to put the folders down, but he refrains. If Chris drops them, he drops them.

It takes a moment for Ken to collect his thoughts, having had them scattered over the last few days as he tried to piece everything together. "I'm still seeing him like before, but the eyes aren't right. They're different colors, red and blue, and kinda... offset. They don't really fit in Ray's face, and they're glowing. Last time I checked, his eyes didn't glow," Ken muttered, rubbing at the back of his neck.

"Red an' blue eyes....glowing....don't fit..." Chris mutters as he takes down notes. "They don't, and 'is eyes aren't red, well, bad 'angover, I s'pose." He smiles slightly but he's mostly taking this incredibly seriously.

"So, Ray 'ad eyes that weren't actually his eyes. Sounds a bit like one o' them shiny-eye demon things Dean were talkin' about. Though I think 'e would've mentioned if they 'ad one eye red." He thinks about this. Maybe Dean just forgot?

"What d'you think made y'start rememberin' differently?"

"I think Dean's lost his damn mind about the demon thing. Why would a demon want to play around like this? Wouldn't they like... want to eat us instead," Ken asks, frowning a little. While he knows Dean's really been trying to help everyone involved, Ken's never been a believer in such things.

Chris' last question made Ken paused in his little mini-rant, sighing softly.

"I started having nightmares about my death and ever since, even the memories are like the dreams. Exactly like them."

"I dunno much about demons," says Chris, shaking his head. "Y'don't get them where I'm from, not really. I reckon cos Dean hunts them all the time 'e'd know somethin'. Maybe they like t'play with their food? Glowin' eyes sounds demon-y, though."

"Hm...how'd you get the memories back in th'first place?" asks Chris.

"I still think he's a little nuts, but he is the expert on all this, which is kinda scary to admit," he mutters, smiling a little at the thought.

"I just remembered, just after they told everyone that Carling got head of Intel."

"Dean's a good bloke." He shrugs. He's not sure why it's scary. Dean seems like a proper sort of copper to him.

"Okay," says Chris, writing this down as well. "Can y'remember anythin' else besides eyes? I mean, Don't 'ave t'be now, but if y'think really 'ard, or sommat? I'll keep adding to the case notes but it don't sound like a very trustworthy memory..."

"Yeah. He is."

Ken glances off to one side, absently scratching at his cheek.

"It's been getting worse the longer it's been since I remembered it. I doubt that's much help but... I guess it's something."

"So maybe it does 'ave t'do with that rubbish brainwashin' by Saxon," says Chris. "Could be stuff he remembers only now you do. Or sommat. Not that I mean Ray killed 'im but... I dunno." He taps at his notepad. "I've got it all written down, anyway. Ta, Ken."
