Summary; Flynn humors Lelouch's request for him to visit the Euphemia with obviously disastrous results. Whose ulterior motive will prevail? Find out as Spinzaku spinkicks this thing along~

[ Flynn remembers the address to Lelouch and Euphemia's residence well. He's been there several times after all, though not recently. Helping with the grocery shopping -- that was what he was doing before, and with Euphemia too. It was no wonder-- no, it was only to be expected and inevitable -- that Flynn was on his way to visit them now. Hadn't Lelouch said so, after all? Lady Euphemia required her friends to be at her side right now.

He had decided not to indulge Lelouch with his request at first -- what with other matters being more important -- but then Lelouch had insisted. Flynn found that he had no real other choice.

In his full armor -- though he looks more presentable now than he did before -- and with his sword at his side, he rings the doorbell.

And waits. ]

[ well he's not really expecting visitors at this point, though he's a little used to having people randomly come over at this point. Euphemia does have many friends within the City.

it feels like this is all he's been doing as of late: answering that damned door. how is he supposed to get anything done of he is constantly having to answer it? ]

One moment...

[ he's making his way over. through the small hallway and to the door. Lelouch makes quick work of the locks, running his hand through his hair. ]

May I help you?

[ Flynn smiles at the familiar face. When was the last time he saw him? Not the time with Euphemia, no. He'd been busy with healing then. It had to be the last time he offered to help with their grocery. Incidentally, that was an important date too. ]

You said I should visit. I gave it some thought, and here I am.

May I come in?

[ ah. Flynn. just the person Lelouch wants to try something out on. he also smiles. he's just as good at pretending, Flynn, and opens the door wider. ]

I'm glad you changed your mind. Come on in.

[ so he'll move from the door to let Flynn inside. he's also going to track down his gun to hide in his jacket. never can be too careful... ]

Shall I fetch her for you or do you just want to go on in?

[ Flynn steps in, though not too far inside. ]

I'll wait in the living room. Is that fine?

[ And then he looks worried-- ]

Or is Lady Euphemia...?

[ let's a little chuckle pass his lips. ]

Euphie is fine, Flynn. She's doing much better today than what she had been. Go ahead and take a seat.

That's good to hear.

[ Looks over to where the sofas are and then goes there to take a seat. He waits patiently ♥ ]

[ sure enough he goes to turn... but then pauses, a questioning look on his features. ]

You said you are a knight, yes? Who do knights serve in your country? Back home our Emperor has quite a few and each child can have a personal knight. I'm curious if it's the same.

[ That question has Flynn arching an eyebrow, but he smiles. He's not sure for what reason Lelouch is asking that, but he's not stingy with information that was so readily available in their world. ]

The knights serve the people, as protectors and upholders of the law for that which the Empire governs. The knights are the Empire's military, so to speak.

Interesting concept... Upholders of the law, hmm.

[ chuckles at the irony and goes to knock on Euphie's door. ]

We have a guest.

[At this point she's not at all surprised, except no one said they were coming over. She gets up and opens her door, not able to see anyone else in the hall but Lelouch.]

Who is it?

Flynn, Euphemia.

[ tilts head in the direction of the living room. ]

[ Flynn stands up. ]

It's me, Lady Euphemia.

Flynn.

[ n_n ]

[Her eyes open just a little bit wider. They aren't supposed to see him... She promised Yuri.] Flynn. [There is definitely a bit of nervousness in her voice although she is also happy to see him. It's hard not to be happy to see one of her closest friends.]

Do you want to come out or would you rather just hole up in your room again?

[ half teasing! ]

[ Dat teasing-

Flynn walks closer and and bows slightly. ]

Sir Lelouch talked me into visiting. He said you needed your friends.

He did? [Surprised actually.]

Well, I'm glad. It's good to see you, Flynn.

[ aaaaaah. cheeks might be coloring a bit here. ]

Hmmm....

Yes.

[ ]

He was so insistent, I was was almost worried for what state you were in, Lady Euphemia.

Oh... Well, I'm feeling better. [She's said this to people before, but it really is true. She's not the same exactly, but it's not as bad.] But it's nice to know you both care so much.

In the end, it's hard not to, Lady Euphemia.

[ And then he has a strange smile and looks at Lelouch. ]

Has Yuri visited at all?

[ Yes, this is your cue to run for the hills. ]

We've been in touch.

[ so very suspicious of you right now Flynn... ]

No, he hasn't been here.

Are the two of you still...in the same situation?

Yes.

And I'm not too surprised. [ About Lelouch and Yuri keeping in touch. ]

Yuri's always been like that. Secretive. And a pain in the ass sometimes.

[ He continues smiling. See, Flynn knows Yuri better than anyone else... ]
