WHEN: midnight between Sept.29 - 30th, all day of the 30th.
RATING: PG-13
CHARACTERS: anyone on that darn tootin' Ark.
SUMMARY: Come midnight,
monstrodick seeks its [Bad username or site: tharheblows title= @ livejournal.com] in battle, taking down his ship in three flicks of its great tail in the course of one hellish hour. The Whale takes the Captain, but spares his crew, and later it returns to carry the less fortunate survivors to the island fringe. And what of the Arkmaster? Time will tell. For now, deprived of their weapons and their goods, the shipwrecked Citizens should care for their own.
[ooc: have fun playing out the aftermath of the shipwreck! After sinking the ship, The Whale will deliver any survivor who can't make it back to the island on their own; it will also be making sure no one tries to escape the City by trying to swim further off in the horizon.
If you'd like to log the ship sinking, or your characters making their way back to the City!island, be sure to title your threads "DURING SHIPWRECK" or "ON THE WAY BACK" or something to hint at the timeline. If not, just go ahead and thread how your gent, or your belle manages to pull it together and survive at the City!island periphery without much by way of provisions.
Remember that while they'll have access to their apparently waterproof network devices, your characters won't be able to get back into the City proper until tomorrow, because of the very heavy patrol of forest monsters blocking the way. (Naturally, it never hurts to try!) Likewise, while people in the City are welcome to give them tips or instructions, and to know of their whereabouts, they shouldn't be able to physically come down and meet the survivors at this time.]

[She takes the seat but keeps a respectable distance from him. Castiel's around, she can feel it.]
Did you get on the boat with Sam?
no subject
[He notices the distance but doesn't comment on it. He assumes Cas is around because Cas wouldn't leave him. If he gets on a boat, he's got faith Cas will get on a boat too. Faith in God? Not even a little bit. Faith in Cas? Total]
You and Cas? Pair of angels?

[Her toe digs into the sand. It's the best she can do since she can't touch him, make sure he's okay.]
Is Sam around?
no subject
Yeah, probably helping old ladies across the beach. Don't know where though.
no subject
[She looks around, trying to see if anyone they know is actually close or not.]
no subject
[You know except for that creeper Cas. Dean picked a spot down the beach away from everyone.]
no subject
You're sure you're not hurt? That wreck was dangerous.
no subject
Swallowed sea water and banged up a little. I'm okay though.
no subject
I was worried when I couldn't find you. I know the Passover thing was mostly a joke, but when the rain actually started...
[She shrugs.]

Yeah, most of the police force thought it was bullshit but there's too much of the bible that's real in our world. I grabbed Sam and made sure he got on the boat.
no subject
That was a smart thing. I hope those back in the City are still alright.
no subject
They're smart. They were already heading for rooftops. They'll be okay.
no subject
[She frowns.]
I wonder sometimes if that's the idea.

[He's watching her closely]

[She looks up at the sky, as if waiting for answers that won't come.]
Think about the power that the people living here have. Keeping us in peril, off our games, keeps us from fighting back.

[It's said part jokingly but its also said with an exhaustion that goes soul deep]

[She gives him a slight nudge and her voice drops a little as she smirks.]
I'm the one who gets to screw you.
no subject
Is that an offer?
[He turns his hand so that he can slowly run his fingers from her wrist to the palm of her hand.]
no subject
Maybe, but not here.
no subject
No time like the present.
[A quirk of his eyebrow and a grin that suggests even more than his words do.]

Dean, when they say sand gets every where, they mean everywhere. Besides... [She looks around again.] There's a lot of people here.
no subject
Sand everywhere is something a person's gotta experience for yourself.
no subject
It's too open for me, Dean.

[She looks out at the sea.]
I wonder if the deities know they're mixing their literature and lore, or if they just don't know better.
