(no subject)

When; Halloween Night!
Rating; TBD
Characters; Ciel and Open to EVERYONE.
Summary; The Earl is throwing a Halloween party. There shall be tricks and treats galore. Have fun. &hearts
Note: This is, by no means, meant to interfere with the City Ball. But if you would like to see Ciel's home and be spooked for the Earl's amusement, please come!
Log;

Ciel couldn't have organized such a monumental party on his own. He was silently grateful to Sebastian and the rest of his servant staff for working so quickly. The idea for this party had occurred to him at the beginning of October, but things had not been fleshed out until now.

Yet the lack of time for set-up hardly seemed to matter. The mansion looked superbly spooky. Skeletons were strewn here and there, fake droplets of blood were smeared on steps and there were even bloody foot-prints leading to a pitch black room. His braver guests might choose to enter said room. When they did, they would find themselves plunged into a terrible nightmare (thanks to Sebastian's demonic magic).

In the Ballroom, however, there were tables outlining the edges of the dance floor. Each one was laden with foods and treats of many sorts. There was even one table designated for drinks alone.

All in all, Ciel thought that this evening looked like a promising one indeed.

Tsubaki had returned after getting changed to make sure everything was in order for the Earl's guests, checking she had done everything instructed. It all seemed in order, but she was on hand in case anything else was required.

For now she was quite content to take in the atmosphere, smoothing out the dress (http://ny-image1.etsy.com/il_430xN.58298913.jpg) she wore, hopeful the fake blood she had applied wasn't staining the outfit. She had even gone out of her way to maintain her half transformed mode (http://media.animevice.com/uploads/0/72/103970-tsubaki_12_super.jpg) to show half of her chain scythe form, with a little extra blood on the blade. She just hoped no one tried to touch it to see if it was real or not.

Oz arrived as a wizard (http://www.xtremepartyz.com/images/male%201006%20in%20character%20Warlock%20Wizard%20%20Xtreme%20Partyz%20Costume%20Fancy%20Dress.jpg). He knew there were other festivities going on around the City, but as a young noble who grew up surrounded with proper parties and balls, he'd decided to attend Ciel's Ball instead. Perhaps afterward he may wish to explore what the City had in store for them - but really he placed no trust with the deities. They'd committed far too many awful things during his stay here.

Gil accompanied him, of course - what was a master without his servant? A wizard without his trusty black cat?

[identity profile] nekophobic.livejournal.com 2010-11-03 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
A black cat. He still couldn't believe he'd been talked into that. And that was really only the loosest definition of "talked into" that he could possibly think of. He was pretty sure he spent half the time trying not to pass out just from the whole cat thing.

He was still avoiding mirrors. But as always, he'd succumbed. He trailed behind Oz, trying not to look too sullen but probably failing at it, and tried not to catch anyone's eye.

Oz tugged at Gil's paw, pointing around at all the magnificent decorations. He'd never seen some of these things before! Especially not at a formal gather with other nobles. The City really allowed for some amazing things- it wasn't all bad all the time. It was best to look at things from that perspective, after all. Otherwise it just became too depressing.

"It looks so scary, doesn't it, Gil?"

[identity profile] nekophobic.livejournal.com 2010-11-05 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
Scary was really quite relative, and how Oz could say any of this looked scary when he'd spent some time in the Abyss, Gil would never know. There was something about Oz's attitude towards everything that just... it made things seem not so bad. Being around Oz had always had that kind of effect on Gil, even when he'd first met him before he'd gotten any memories of Jack Vessalius or Vincent back. Oz had made him feel safe and happy even when he was bullying him.

Like making him wear cat costumes.

"Very," Gil answered dryly. "Terrifying."

Oz waved his little wand, so full of energy and happiness and wondering how Ciel managed to set all this up so well! He was really impressed- Oz wondered if he should throw a party, too. Ah, but, it wasn't really something he liked to do. Attending was easier.

Besides, the last time there was a party in his honor-

Shaking his head, he turned to Gil. "What shall we do first?"

[identity profile] nekophobic.livejournal.com 2010-11-05 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm guessing you might want to try some of the food." There were all manner of sweet-looking things around the place. As long as he didn't think about what he was wearing, it was okay.

It was okay.

It was just him, at a party with Oz. This was okay. "There's some interesting stuff there. Or so I can vaguely see from here."

[identity profile] existais.livejournal.com 2010-11-08 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Oz hurried to the tables, excitedly looking over all the choices. Ah, there were so many delicious looking treats! He really had to admire the amount of work Ciel had put into such an occasion.

"Do you see anything you like, Gil?"

[identity profile] nekophobic.livejournal.com 2010-11-08 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
If he was honest, Gil saw more things Oz liked then that he liked himself, but that didn't stop him from reaching over the table for a plate and beginning to fill it in with the first things that caught his eyes. It was all too easy to pick out Oz's favourites from the treats laid out in front of them.

"We'll just pick some up and...find somewhere to sit."

[identity profile] existais.livejournal.com 2010-11-08 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Nodding, Oz created a delicious dish of his own - sweet and treats and tasty little things - before looking around for somewhere to sit. He had an even better surprise for Gil sometime later in the evening- but for now, he'd let Gil squirm a little more. It was always nice, anyway, to see such easy reactions from his servant.

Oz wasn't that mean, after all.

Kind of.

[identity profile] nekophobic.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
He wasn't that mean. That was something that was arguable, if you asked Gil, really. Of course, no one had ever asked Gil - and, if he was really honest, Gil had spent too many years missing this to hold it against his young master.

As they moved to the seat, Gil switched their plates, rolling his eyes just a little as he pointed out one of the pastries on Oz's plate. "You don't even like that."

[identity profile] existais.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Oz laughed, taking Gil's plate and looking at all the sweets laid out before him. Gil always watched out for him, was always there- really, what did Oz do for Gil in return? But that was a question he'd rather not think about. Not now, when they were so happy.

"It looks interesting, though. Look, it's shaped like a ghost!" He grabbed a cookie - a favorite! - and nibbled it. If Break were here, Oz was sure that the other man would inhale the entire sweets table. Maybe even the table itself!

[identity profile] nekophobic.livejournal.com 2010-11-11 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
And Gil would have to fend off Break to make sure Oz actually managed to even get one cookie. It probably - hopefully - wouldn't be so bad considering there was still a whole room full of food but you could never really be sure with Break.

"All of them are shaped like something." Gil had carefully avoided the cat ones too. Considering he was here...in a cat suit - literally - it was really kind of ironic.
