When; April 13
Rating; PG-13 (Juust in case)
Characters; Jack Harkness(
sometimes_boe ) and everyone!
Summary; Who is this gorgeous man wandering City streets?
Log;
Waking up in an unknown city was usually the sign of a good night, however, this time, Jack knows it's not a good sign, especially when his night hadn't been anything special enough to land him in a place he didn't know.
He looked around, trying to see if he recognized anything, but nothing stood out. Except for the carousel and fountain and not because they were familiar, but because, honestly, who kept carousels in town anymore, unless you were in a mall?
Jack pressed the blue-tooth set at his ear and checked his vortex manipulator for readings of the area.
"Gwen, Ianto, are you there?"
Of course, no response, that'd be too easy.

"I'm assuming this is what you're talking about. Looks sort of like a 21st century, Earth, cell phone."

Nathan stared at him, thoroughly confused. "Wait, they had Bluetooth in the Nazi era? I don't even remember that being around in the nineties."

Jack returned his confused look before it occurred to him that the kid was referring to Jack's coat.
"Oh, you mean what I'm wearing. No, I'm not from the 40s. I've been there, and that's were this coat's from, but I was pulled from the 21st century."

For an immortal with a bunch of super powered friends (including a time traveller), Nathan probably would've done well to be a bit more open minded. Of course, the thought didn't occur to him, so Nathan's tone was full of biting sarcasm and blatant disbelief.
no subject
"No, I lived through it, well, and I've visited on a couple occasions, but strictly business then. Haven't you ever heard of time travel?"
He realized it was possible Nathan would laugh at him, but he was used to that sort of response.

Or would be, if he still could. Which, judging by the face Nathan pulled, didn't register until a few seconds later. "Wait, used to?"

Nathan peered down at it again, considered it, then pulled another face. No. Still not any cooler. "No offence, or anything, but that's kind of pathetic. I mean, that just means anyone could do it, so long as they had one of those, right?"
no subject
Honestly, he was only human, the strongest, most cleaver person he knew, couldn't even travel through time without a device.
no subject
"And," he stuffed his hands into his pocket for effect here. "I bet I could use it. I've got experience of the whole time travel thing. Anyway, it's tiny. How hard can it be?" For all his swagger, he didn't really think that, but he didn't want to boast for Curtis without some way of being impressive himself.
no subject
"I'd like to see you try, if I get it working again, I'll lend it to you."
no subject
Nathan couldn't believe his luck at that. Eyes widening, he laughed, disbelieving? "Really? Nice one!" And who knew? Maybe he even would be able to work it.
no subject
"Well...I should probably figure out my next decision."
no subject
That was about all there was to it, wasn't there? "Supposedly rent's free the first month, but I never pay mine."
Which is more to do with his flatmate being far too lenient with him than anything, but that's obviously not important.

Jack gave Nathan a playful salute and offered his hand.
"It's was a pleasure meeting you, Nathan. No doubt we'll run into each other again. Oh...and better luck with those ladies."

At the last part, the hints of a predatory smile finds its way onto Nathan face, the tip of his tongue flicking out in what he clearly thinks is a seductive manner. "Oh, I don't need luck. I was just getting started."
With that, he saunters off to harass someone else. Just to prove his point.
