Waking up in an unknown city was usually the sign of a good night, however, this time, Jack knows it's not a good sign, especially when his night hadn't been anything special enough to land him in a place he didn't know.

He looked around, trying to see if he recognized anything, but nothing stood out. Except for the carousel and fountain and not because they were familiar, but because, honestly, who kept carousels in town anymore, unless you were in a mall?

Jack pressed the blue-tooth set at his ear and checked his vortex manipulator for readings of the area.

"Gwen, Ianto, are you there?"

Of course, no response, that'd be too easy.

"Where the Hell am I?"

Jezebel raised an eyebrow. Interesting that the man had picked that up so quickly, especially considering that he clearly wasn't from the same time. Also curious was how he was willing to assume Jezebel was from another time at all, before he'd even been introduced to the City and its ways.

"You're correct," Jezebel said curtly, because he wasn't going to let out more details about himself easily. "The City is simply called The City. No one seems to have bothered to give it any other name."

"Of course not. The lack of creativity for some species shouldn't surprise me."

Jack sighed and gave the man a possibly-flirtatious smile, offering his hand in greeting.

"Captain Jack Harkness, apparently, the new guy."

Jezebel raised an eyebrow at that smile, but he did oblige to shake the man's hand quickly. "Jezebel Disraeli," he said, his tone still a bit cool; he had no reason to trust any strangers in the City, and this man was no different. "The local doctor, shall we say." He tried very hard not to smirk at that last part.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Doctor Disraeli."

The distance that this doctor kept with him was somewhat amusing to Jack. It was always an interesting change to meet someone who wasn't enthralled with Jack's 'thousand-watt smile'.

"I have the feeling that I'm keeping you from something. I apologize, I'm sure we'll meet again, doctor."
