WHEN: April 23rd!
WHO: everyone invited!

[ A whirlwind of petals, the slightest breaze, and a few dreams to spare: under the new patronage of sakura trees, at least this corner of Xanadu finds itself at ease. Citizens, enjoy the view! ]
[ooc: OPEN LOG for anyone who wants to take characters sakura-viewing! Ball-room / threadjack-style, hur hur. Have people run into each other, make new friends, tumble around the trees, etc! And don't forget our dashing plant visitor with its charming voice

anywhere; afternoon-close-to-evening
Because they were beautiful, really.
Not to mention, the colour of her hair now. So - really, it would be a shame not to - she could allow herself a small pause to watch this phenomenon, before returning home. Perhaps she'd text her brother to come join. And Alan, too.]
A TREE; early morning
Not one to settle down into the bad moods, Haru had packed her blanket and a big box with snacks - she'd roasted the nuts and almonds and peanuts herself this morning, dilligently so! - and had joined the rest of the nature lovers who'd decided to watch this pretty event up-close.
Hopefully in company. If she got tired of alone time, she'd text everyone to join her. Definitely.]

Do you people always make a big deal out of these flowers?
no subject
Of course! It's one of the trademarks of our culture! And they're really pretty, aren't they?

MID-AFTERNOON (now with less fail!)
Jirou spotted Haru first, and raced on ahead of Yamamoto, barking happily, kicking up grass. Kojirou was in the air, giving his wings some exercise, and would join them whenever he felt like it, no doubt.
When he was close enough, Yamamoto waved.]
Hey, Haru!
|D
At least she could count with the girls and with Yamamoto-san's presence. And speaking of him - she heard the greeting a second before getting pounced by cute puppy.]
Ahaha - Yamamoto-san, you brought Jirou out too!

After several minutes, Uni spots her friend, and wastes no time in finding a spot next to her.]
Haru, hello! Aren't they amazing? You have many of these trees in Namimori, don't you?
later in the morning~
Hello to you too! Yes, they are most beautiful! We do have them there - we even went to them once together.

anywheresies; late morning
it wasn't very often you saw something like this. It was nearly nonexistent (to this extent) in Troy.
So Ganymede's found himself wandering amongst the blossoms. To him, they're rather plain. Being beautiful and surrounded by "beautiful things" for a thousand years does that to you.]
no subject
What do you think of them, Ganymede?
[ His ability to know what others are thinking has been somewhat compromised by this place, unfortunate as it is, after all. ]

Walking Around | Late Afternoon | Open
Which is why she's walking around at a steady, leisurely pace, dressed in a pink kimono with her hair elegantly arranged and decorated with pretty pins. She had help with the costume, and she's admittedly still not entirely comfortable in it--which shows a bit in the way she moves, more deliberate and less fluid than she is in her usual peasant dresses--but she was told it's the proper thing to do for a sakura-viewing festival, and being proper is well worth a little initial awkwardness, in her opinion.
As she goes, she watches the people as much as she takes in the blossoms, looking for friendly faces in the crowds and generally enjoying the beauty of the day as she makes her way around to see the trees all in bloom.]
Under Trees | Early Evening | Open
The petals floated around Suki and she reached out to grab one. This was something she could get used to, and though she didn't want it around all the time, it was a nice treat.]
Under Trees | Early Evening | Open
He caught sight of Sokka's girlfriend in the distance. Suki, if he remembered correctly. Though he did not know the young woman well, she seemed like a very nice person and pleasant company. And it was important to maintain connections with people from their world. So he waved at her.]
