Summary; Dave and Sollux have reached the point in gay flushed chicken where they've agreed to go on a date. Hoo boy.

Sollux could almost, kinda, sorta, maybe see a bit. Enough that he made his way down to Dave's apartment without too much difficulty, though he still had a tendency to lick the air a little when he got a bit muddled, and he moved painfully slowly.

Still, he made it, and he found the right door, so that was a win.

He raised a hand and knocked. They had agreed to meet at 5, and it was now 4:45 - Sollux figured Dave expected to come to his place to pick HIM up, what with Sollux being blind and all. But he had decided to do this, since he could, and maybe was a little proud of the fact that he could.

Besides, this way they couldn't get teased and/or yelled at by Karkat or Terezi.

Sollux will just have to keep asking Dave out on dates. Dates are different than just wandering aimlessly and sniffing at things.

He cocked his head, listening to the bass as it vibrated through the concrete at their feet. "There are places like that, in the city," he said. "Though this sounds a bit... bigger." There were only kids on Alternia, after all.

Yes, that is probably the best course of action. An outing with a purpose. Perhaps next time they'll both be better prepared, too.

"Never been inside one?"

"No, never," Sollux said, leaning forward and sniffing a bit as they neared the door and another blast of sound hit them as the door opened to let someone in.

He was a little nervous that the overwhelming noise would be disorienting, since he wouldn't be able to hear much other than that, but he was curious and eager, as well. He gripped Dave's hand tightly, trying to communicate that he didn't want him to let go.

Dave speaks gestures well and the message is received loud and clear. Usually, he'd make some ridiculous pop culture reference that would make sense to only him, but he hasn't got the concentration, eyes drifting over to the mouth of the club and the obvious huge crowd of people inside. If he was anyone else, he'd be excited. Itching to dash inside. But, such isn't the way of Dave Strider.

With effortlessly cool detachment, he leads Sollux towards the door, music louder with each step.

"Ready?"

Sollux grows a little more nervous with each step, aware of the crowd of shifting, moving humans beyond the door, and the pounding throb of the music that's so heavy with bass that it vibrates through his thorax and forces his blood pusher into time with the beat.

But he's with Dave, and he's sure the human won't let him get lost or hurt. There's no need to be nervous.

At Dave's question, he grins suddenly and nods. "Fuck yeah, I'm ready."
