When; Slightly forward-dated to tomorrow, August 8th
Rating; M for violence and kismesitude between trolls
Characters; Sollux Captor and Eridan Ampora
Summary; Sollux is still feeling restless in the wake of a bad weekend, so he goes to try to figure out what the fuck Eridan is doing.
Log; Sollux hadn't wanted a recuperacoon more since his arrival at the City than he had the previous night. Every time he tried to relax into the nest of blankets and pillows he'd made on his sleeping rectangle, he just kept thinking about Aradia and Feferi and Kanaya, and Karkat's guilt, and how much of an idiot he'd been, so many times.
After a fitful sleep, plagued by nightmares, he woke before dawn and lay in the darkness, irritated with himself and restless.
Finally, he got up and dressed, grabbed a few slices of that weird soft white substance the humans called 'bread' for breakfast and left a note on the kitchen table.
went 0ut
d0n't w0rry, i'm n0t unstable
i just want t0 clear my head
i'll be back
Then he headed out of the apartment, careful to shut the door quietly.
He wandered for a bit, then bought a map and examined it carefully with both tongues. After getting his bearings, he headed for the docks where Eridan had been fishing, before. He suspected the sea-troll would be doing it again, since it had something to do with his returning powers, and he still wanted to know what the hell was up with that.
He reached the docks and tasted the air, smelling that familiar grape colour. He edged along the dock towards that faint trace, keeping low so that the boxes and other objects would keep him hidden from view. Eridan was probably under the water, but he could tell where he had been, just a bit. He would be able to tell when he surfaced, and then find a good vantage point to wait and spy.

This time, however, there was something blocking the slats of light, and Eridan paddled himself slightly for the angle and it was SOLLUX and he ducked back down, under the water, down as far as he could go this close into shore.
What's Sollux doing here? Eridan couldn't think of a reason other than to spy on him. Which was nosy, and FLATTERING, and invasive and fuck, what did Sollux think he was doing?
He had a few options, obviously, but the one that naturally seemed the most tempting was the one that involved messing about with Sollux, especially after the other troll had insulted him. All he had to do now was hope Sollux doesn't move drastically from where he was when Eridan last looked.

What the fuck, the smell was so strong it was like Eridan wasn't over where he had been before, but practically on top of Sollux. Which was ridiculous, because Sollux was on land, and Eridan was in the water.
And it was so fleeting, he couldn't quite get a fix on it. Damnit, this was annoying.

Panicking, he flailed and kicked hard at his attacker, trying to hold his breath, but he hadn't taken a good breath before being pulled under.
Disoriented, he couldn't sense a thing by smell or taste under water.

Satisfied he was far enough away, in addition to being out of sight of anyone who could try and stop him, Eridan turned Sollux around once again, pushing at his chest and lifting his head above the water.
"Wwhat did you think you wwere gonna find out?" he said, instead of grinning nastily like a shark, which is what he felt like doing. "Spyin' on me."

He spit out a mouthful of water and gasped raggedly for breath, struggling against Eridan's grip, but he had no leverage.
Only then did he realize that it was Eridan who had grabbed him, not some kind of sea monster. He snarled. "Let me go!"

He needed to calm down, he knew. There was no way he was getting out of this unscathed if he didn't calm down enough to at least be able to use his powers.
What piddly amount of powers he had, anyway.
"Okay, fine," he growled, his voice breathless despite his efforts. "Don't let go. Jutht take me to shore."
no subject
He couldn't bring Sollux back to shore, not yet.
"I don't fuckin' see wwhy I should," he said, lip curling, "after all, you wwere the one wwho came here. You started this and you don't evven wwant to fuckin' finish it?" A slight trembling in his hands was all the warning Sollux received as Eridan let go of him entirely.

He freed a hand and almost punched Eridan in the face, but thought better of it at the last moment. Instead, he put his arm around Eridan's neck, holding him tighter.
"Finish what?" he hissed. "I didn't come here to attack you!"
no subject
"Wwhat did you come here for, then? Scopin' out the fuckin' beach? I'm not an idiot." Eridan took the opportunity to paddle them out a little further. "If you can't take the fuckin' currents stay out a' the tide."
no subject
"I jutht wanted to know what you were doing in the water," Sollux said, his voice rising a little higher again as he sensed the land retreating even further. "What are you going to do?"
Eridan could really kill him, right now. Just hold him under the water for as long as he wanted, and then let Sollux' corpse float away on the currents.

There was always the slight edge of temptation with his hate, still wanting to blame Sollux for Feferi's death, the thought that maybe he might feel better for taking some sort of twisted revenge. But he needed Sollux too much to follow through. And thus, he kept an eye on Sollux's face as he pulled him through the water, watching for whenever it would be that the landweller really needed air. Having Sollux at his mercy was brilliant, but it wouldn't be really interesting unless he fought back at least a little bit. And he'd found the caves underwater while trying to fish...

Didn't he understand that land dwellers needed to breathe?
Sollux clung to him for a few seconds, then began to struggle, trying to fight his way out of Eridan's grip to flail his way back to the surface. Maybe there was no hope that he could save himself, particularly with Eridan in the water with him, but he had to try.
He was absolutely convinced that Eridan planned to kill him, and he didn't want to die.

"Wwe're goin' dowwn again," he announced, after he thought Sollux had had sufficient time to catch his breath. "You'd better take a fuckin' deep breath this time."
no subject
"Fuck you!" he exclaimed, slightly hysterical.
He gritted his teeth and concentrated, blasting outwards with his powers, but between his panic and the fact that he barely had a quarter of his power back, it likely felt no more painful than a slap to the face.
no subject
"I'm givvin' you one last chance," he warned him. "Take a fuckin' breath." He gave Sollux five seconds to take his advice and then dove down again.
no subject
There was nothing else he could do but obey. He drew in a deep breath, hoping that meant that Eridan was just planning to torture him, but not outright kill him. And then his head was under the water again, and he held on for dear life as Eridan dove down deep.

Only 50% of the cave had solid ground, the rest dipped down alarmingly quickly into the depths of the sea. Eridan swung himself out of the water to stand beside the other troll, and waited for Sollux to react. This was either going to be fun, or it wasn't. Honestly, he partially wished that none of the other trolls were in the City, so he could just keep Sollux here, for his, with no complaints.

But then his head broke the surface and he was shoved up onto solid land. He coughed and gasped and clung to the rocks. He was safe? Eridan had brought him to land, after all?
But the sounds echoed oddly and there was a stuffy closeness to the air that tasted wrong. He cleared his throat, tasting the air with his tongues and struggling to regain his bearings.
"Where are we?" he rasped, pushing himself up to sit. He could tell Eridan was right beside him, and he tensed, trying to prepare himself for another attack.

He hadn't really planned this out, he was just letting it happen and hoping an idea of what to do came to him soon. Even if he did want to take everything he could from Sollux, right now....he didn't want to jeopardise their kismessitude.

He hissed as Eridan dragged his head up by the hair, his fingers curling into fists.
"I know you could, you piethe of shit," he said, his blood pusher pounding in his chest. He had to fight not to make any sound that might denote fear. What did Eridan want? What would get him out of this situation?
They both knew he was completely powerless to get out of this situation on his own. His only chance was to give Eridan what he wanted for now. Antagonizing him too much would probably just make him leave, trapping Sollux alone in this confining space.
"What do you fucking want, ed?" he demanded, though his voice trembled slightly. "You've gone to all thith trouble to get me thtuck in here. Now what?"
no subject
“Now I do wwhatevver I fuckin’ wwant,” he said, his voice low, practically a purr. “And I wwant evverythin’.” His claws dug into Sollux’s head, enough to draw blood as he kissed him, all blood and teeth and ferocious grinning. Who was the pathetic one, here? He pushed Sollux back roughly onto the ground, driven by the near-compulsion of wanting to be the clear operator of the situation.

Sollux snarled as Eridan kissed him, feeling the sea-dweller's teeth slice into his bottom lip and the tang of yellow blood fill the space between their mouths. The slight pain there was matched by the jolt from the claws sinking into his scalp, so near to his tender horns.
Eridan pushed him down, and the rough rocks scraped at his back even through the thin, soaked shirt he wore.
He should be horrified and angry to be forced. The problem was, a large part of the reason he wanted to be Eridan's kismesis in the first place was because he thought Eridan was really, really hot. A loser who deserved to suffer and who couldn't charm his way out of a paper bag, sure. But he was still damn gorgeous, to Sollux. It was a helpless sort of attraction that he hated, and which therefore fed the hatred he felt for Eridan in general, but he couldn't deny it no matter how hard he tried.
He swore - the word muffled by Eridan's lips - and retaliated. He opened his mouth and thrust his tongues forward, growling deep in his throat as he scraped his claws as hard as he could down Eridan's back. Let him shred Eridan's shirt to ribbons, and then his back. He would not just roll over for Eridan's pleasure.

He fought back with his own tongue, sliding against Sollux's before he made a choked noise, and then gasped, arching slightly forward at the feel of Sollux's claws, raking down his back through his shirt, tearing the fabric, sharp red lines of pleasurable pain. He scraped his claws across Sollux's head and dug those on his other hand into his shoulder where he was pushing him down into the rocks.
