[So... this was a spectacularly bad idea. Stephen hates all his friend and will kill them all come morning. In the mean time, at least this places has a regular and steady supply of booze. He tries to get the bartender's attentions over the various throngs of people order ridiculously complex cocktails.]

[Lucy leans her head against Stephen's shoulder with a sigh.]

Things are scary so...I don't know. [She bites her bottom lip.] I'm thinking I might not have sex with Curt tonight though and that's kind of a big deal.

[That makes her smile so she raises her head and kisses him on the cheek then lays her head back on his shoulder.] It does because I've been sort of cray cray lately. I told him I wouldn't see him then we had a skype date with my feet and my knees then I told him I would see him then I didn't then I flashed him. So it's good that crazy makes him happier.

You're crazy. Sex is the fun part. You do your thing, everyone has fun. You go home and no one gets hurt. The relationship part...that's where feelings get involved and when that happens, you open yourself to this whole world of pain-heartbreak stuff.

Nope. People can only really hurt you if you love them an d that's terrifying.

Sure, the sex is fun. But the lead up is torture. Am I saying the right thing, am I turning them off, are they going to think I'm a nut job, am I reading the signals wrong, maybe this isn't anything at all and I'm imagining it. It's enough to drive you crazy.

When it's with someone you know... well you know they like you already because they wouldn't have stuck around otherwise. Then it's just easy.

No way. At least if they reject you then they're just rejecting sex. If they reject you later, they're rejecting you because they do know you and what if they decide to stop liking you one day? They just up and leave because hey they thought crazy would be fun and exciting. It turns out it just gives them heartburn or the new thing around the corner is so much hotter or whatever.

Sex isn't personal. A relationship is nothing but personal.
