Summary; There is motion in the ocean and it's not as sexy as you think it is.


| DAY 15 | Restless Oceans

[The air is tense. Just as Luke had been considering turning back, land was sighted in the distance! It's still a few days off, but it's something. Unfortunately, the weather has sprung a surprise storm on the unsuspecting crew in the meantime, hiding that taste of land. It's worse than when they spotted the rocks: the rain is so thick that it fills buckets in seconds, the wind tears nastily at the sails, and the air is so cold that it might as well be snowing.

Occasionally, snatches of soft lute-playing can be heard on the howling wind. Probably just your imagination. There are no animals around, which is somewhat disconcerting.]

[Once again, the weather is absolute crap. Maybe the faint singing is driving you crazy, or you're just trying to ignore the fact that the ship feels like it's going to tip over at any instant.]

[He looked out the window from inside and things weren't looking so bright. This one was going to be a heavy one. He could feel it.

Pushing off the sill after a few minutes, he began to prepare for the worst when he heard it. Was that singing? He froze in place to try and figure it out.]

SIREN SONG

[A rocky shore rises out of nowhere, milder than the one that caused a lot of trouble a week and a half ago, but alarming nonetheless. There are no birds or flying fish to greet the travelers as they sail close.

The wind brings the lure of harps and lutes, the gentle voices of three beautiful, naked women perched among the rocks. Anyone who can hear their voices has the sudden urge to fall asleep or dive into the ocean, though it can be resisted by those who are strong enough mentally or just... smart enough to plug their ears.

If their song isn't cancelled or disrupted, the crew might just jump in, too.]

Ugh... w-what the hell... I can't...

[This definitely reminds him of the first time he met Tear. He's a lot stronger now than he was then, and though it hurts to resist, he staggers toward the side of the ship to look.]

That singing... it's like...

We have to make it stop!

[He'll flip out about the girls apparently being naked when they're not, you know, fighting for their lives.]

[His eyes felt rather heavy. Just what was going on, he pondered as he fought the urge to fall asleep and then he saw them. His mouth instantly dropped to see three naked women with beautiful voices serenading them and rather than falling a sleep he was now being drawn to them as well.

Despite the lovely eye candy, even he knew something wasn't right considering where his body was edging to go. Overboard. He followed right behind Luke's warning, giving one of his own as he quickly tried to cover his ears.]

He's right! Don't listen to their voices! Cover your ears!

[Luke glares hard at the heavenly creatures singing from the sandbar. He shoves his fingers into his ears until he can't hear anything but the sound of himself swallowing, his own heartbeat, the blood in his head.

Already, he can feel his strength returning. He whirls on the crew.]

Plug your ears!

[Maybe it's the weather or maybe she's just getting drained but that siren song, that faint voice that's been playing in her mind for what feels like forever is starting to get to her. She's feeling drowsy, though she's still fighting to resist for now.]

[Though the voices of the women were slightly affecting him at first making him a sleepy, Sasuke instinctively ears hoping that was actually enough to stop the affects of the affects of the voices. He'd been though genjutsu worse than this, if anything this was nothing.

[Unfortunately, the crew isn't immune to the call of the sirens. As the ship glides closer to the shore, the water around it erupts in spray and foam, and at least six huge, barnacled tentacles lash around the ship, trying to drag it underwater.

This just got a little kinky. Hope you're not too worn out from the sirens to fight this thing off!]

[He tried to quickly whack it with his book, before re-covering his ears. He agreed with Yuri. Someone had to take care of them or this won't do. Klarth looked around to one, make certain everyone was still all right and two, if there was someone who could take care of it.]

[The rain has finally backed off for the time being, though the sea is anything but calm. This is a good time to tend your wounds, eat a little, and collect yourselves.

Maybe it's over... but it sure doesn't feel like it.]

[Luke kneels in the middle of the deck, leaning heavily on his sword. He's covered in water, seaweed, and blood. He's not sure if it's his or the monsters' anymore.]

Let's just hope there aren't any more little surprises like that on the horizon. I'm not sure how much more this ship can take.

[Heavily panting as he holds onto part of the ship, he answered from the back.]

[Sasuke just against the side of the ship, as he tries to recover from what just happened with the few injuries he did get but it's nothing outside of the usual for him so he's not letting that get him down]

[A flash of lightning followed by a crack of thunder disrupts the restful silence. It starts out distant, and then creeps steadily closer until the lightning can be seen hitting the waves. The crew is nervous. There are mutters and rumors of something that even a kraken is scared of.

A sudden, massive wave threatens to capsize the boat. In its wake rises something fearsome: a sea giant with a beard of kelp and seaweed, skin as rough as sandstone, and horns of sharp, colorful coral. His eyes are unmistakably inhuman and black like the abyss. In his hands, he holds a javelin as big as the ship itself; the end crackles with lightning. His waist terminates into a long, serpentine, finned tail like that of a leviathan.

It goes without saying that he's pretty pissed off.]

[Rose had to lay pretty low for the siren fight but she sure as heck is awake now. She's on her feet in an instant, ready to take on this new threat with dark energies crackling from the tips of her wands once more]

[The brief rest was enough to at least get him back on his feet. But seriously, what in the world is that thing?! Klarth did the same from slightly behind Rose, preparing his book before him and drawing his arm out.]

[After the assault of angry waves and sea creatures, it seems like the group's efforts have made it possible to pinpoint a weakness...

A soft, shiny patch of rough sea-glass beneath his ribs, glinting against his otherwise stony, impenetrable skin.

[Luke has managed to keep a strong hold on his sword this whole time.]

Hey--! Do you see that? There's something beneath his chest!

[When Luke mentioned that, Klarth looked over to the said point and concurred.] Aa, I see it too. Though...

[He whacked away an enemy with his book.] We'll need to split the task. [He thought of what summons could cover a vast enough area and decided on him, the ruler of the four grand elementals.]

If you guys could buy me sometime, I have a plan.

[The sea king roars and disappears beneath the waves. The storm dissipates into stars as the sun sets. Silence creeps in once again, but this time it is truly peaceful.

As the ship leaves the sandbar, the water around it flares with different kinds of glowing coral and luminescent fish, creating galaxies and constellations in the fathoms below.]

[He used the rail to support himself and catch his breath when he notices something in the distance. His eyes slowly began to widen to the sight he saw. Was that...]
