End of Summer Party

Summary; Dawn asked about an end of Summer party, everyone seemed to like the idea, and she's been busy getting things ready for two days. Here we go!

While Buffy has been all yay!violence girl, Dawn has been busy decorating the area around the carousel and fountain for the end of Summer party tonight. It's a central location to all of the apartment buildings which makes it the perfect location. The area has been decorated with paper lanterns of all colors and twinkle lights. There are speakers wired at ever possible corner by some of the techs at City Solutions. They're blaring music of all types from rock to hip hop to rap, all party kind of music. However, there will eventually be a live band. Time Bomb will be playing a few sets for the masses to dance to.

Around the circle there are several kegs of beer set up with red plastic cups stacked up beside them. There are four tables set up near the center by the carousel, one with the makings for grilled burgers and hot dogs, one with the makings for any kind of sandwich you can imagine, and one with assorted desserts of cakes, ice creams, cookies and brownies. The fourth table is a little bit smaller but has red fruit punch and plastic cups on it.

Dawn has been productive, and really she's pretty proud of herself. Making with the fun is so much better than making with the violence, in her opinion.

[Stephen Stills has started devising a few more strategies to deal with pre-show freak-outs jitters. His current one involves wedging himself in a corner somewhere. It's not ideal, but it stops him from pacing as much.]

[ooc: Stephen will be moping around the corners of the party before the show, fighting off a panic attack, so feel free to bump into him. :-D]

[Well, Jill is a dark corner kind of gal so it's no surprise that she spies him. After filling up a second cup of beer, she goes over to him and offers it to him.]

[Short notice makes the band just a little shaky, especially when despite Stephen's worry over the set list. Curt starts a completely different song than everyone else at one point. But the band rocks hard and Curt give as high-energy performance as ever, with lots of jumping around in tight pants, and they even have a couple relatively new songs the were written for the upcoming album.]

Alright, that's it everyone. We're Time Bomb and we'll be hanging around after the show, so come and say hi, buy a t-shirt or something. Goodnight City!

[An excited brunette is bounding over to him all smiles and excitement. She's a little bouncy but hey, she just got done shaking her booty on the dance floor to the tunes of Time Bomb.]

If there's one thing I learned in my one semester of college, it's that there should be a lot of beer. Cause if you run out, the shenanigans of fun end. Plus the beer totally complements your dress. You look so pretty!

[Aya is over here, sitting in a chair. He managed to get himself over here and exhausted himself doing it. Though he's doing a great job of hiding it. Still, he's at least here to support Dawn in this.]

[Once she spots him, Dawn is over there carefully sitting sideways in his lap and wrapping one arm up around his shoulders. She leans in to kiss his cheek.]

[This child comes shyly to see what the fuss is all about, because he hasn't heard this level of merriment since before things sort of went to hell back in his home world. He somewhat clumsily navigates his new wheelchair to the desserts table to survey his options. If anyone thinks it's odd for such a small child to be here, they're wrong, because Bran is nearly a man grown after all.

That said, he won't be staying out past his bedtime.]

[Desserts, that's kind of where Dawn keeps finding herself too. She spies the child in the wheelchair and points to the brownies.]

I recommend the brownies. They're little squares of ewy-gooey chocolate goodness.

{Bran nods, a little shyly, and reaches for one of the dark brown bread-like square things. He takes a timid bite, and smiles. This girl speaks even more unusually than some of the others he's met here in the City so far, but she's given a very good recommendation.]
