[The Auldrapartment is filled with the silence that comes from sick people. There's no radio or television playing, not even the general noise of the video/audio posts on the Network. For once, Luke is completely ignoring his PDA, and instead muffling his coughing and misery into the cocoon of blankets he's collected for himself. This feels pretty bad. He didn't get sick very much when he lived in Baticul, and even his fonons separating didn't give him a damn fever.]

Ugh... If I cough any harder, I might puke.

[He can't help but wonder if it's connected to the expedition. Didn't Yuri complain about being sick, too? ... Whatever, he's too tired to look into it right now.]

[Seems like the replica isn't the only one feeling under the weather, but he's the only one Asch really gives a darn about. He's heard the replica's stifled coughing for some time already. It's possible he hasn't even eaten anything with how sick he is.

Two quiet knocks on the door to the replica's room, and then Asch's muffled voice.] I'm coming in.

[Slowly, the door opens with a gentle creak before Asch comes in and closes the door behind him in a similarly tender manner.]

Here.

[He produces a bowl of chicken soup.]

[Probably not. Luke is sometimes bad at taking care of himself, especially when other people are sick and he... well, he's been doing paperwork. For a few days. Yep.

He sits up quickly as Asch enters the room, then regrets it. It comes with a dizzy spell and he struggles to stay upright.]

A-Asch?

[He expected Guy or Tear, but not his original. Well... damn. This is kind of...]

... What are you doing? [He blinks at the soup.] Wait... is that...?

Chicken soup.

[Asch is actually working on keeping to an indoor voice. It's not quite a whisper, but at least it doesn't seem like he's yelling or retorting. He looks around for a good place to put the soup down so it'll be close to the replica but won't spill.]

Because you can't even take care of yourself right. [Not like Asch is much better, but at least he isn't sick right now.]

[He does have a nightstand. There's already a pitcher there. Looks like he's been drinking water, at least.

The insinuation that he can't take care of himself is, at least, partly true. It's embarrassing and pathetic that Asch always has to take care of Luke... He huffs a bit and looks away.]

... Sorry. [His breath hitches, and then he launches into another coughing fit.]

[He frowns while peeking into the pitcher before moving it aside and placing the bowl down. How long has it been since the replica refilled that thing? Where's his cup, or has he been drinking directly out of the pitcher?

And did he just apologize for being sick? Asch somehow barely manages not to facepalm.]

You're not the only one who's sick. People all over the City are talking about it. But there's no point in worrying about anyone else if you can't even take care of yourself.
