closed: ongoing.
When: Forward-dated by like... wharblgarble number of weeks. Ish.
Rating: PG.
Characters: The Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler.
Summary: Rose has been wearing Ten's clothes.
Log:
It's morning-time. At present, the Doctor is in his room, attempting to find clothes he can wear. There is a very specific reason why this is difficult, and mildly annoying, even though at the same time it's sort of amazing. And maddening. He's got the door shut, but since Rose has never come in he's not concerned with locking it or anything like that. But he is rushing around trying to find pants and shirts beyond the very basic under-versions he's got of both of them on at the moment.

She grins at him and moves to put tea in the pot and get it ready for brewing. "Could sorta get used to wearin' a blanket like this."
no subject
He's still leaning against the counter a little bit as she attends to the tea. 'It's kind of got a... snuggly? thing working for it. A drapey thing. I think you wear it better than I do anyway.'
no subject
"Definitely a snuggly thing." And she looks over at him out of the corner of her eyes, grinning. "I don't know. Think you're underestimatin' the appeal you wrapped in a blanket holds."
Once the water boils, she takes the kettle off the stove and pours it into the pot.
no subject
He watches her continue taking care of all the tea-making.
'With tea.'
/drowns your inbox at least for another half hour or so
"You found me out. Very elaborate, well thought out and fantastically planned seduction attempt with tea."
Yes she's now doing that sexy little smile where the tip of her tongue touches her teeth.
IT IS OKAY I CAN HANDLE IT I CAN TAKE IT
'Welll... Yes. It's a very distracting combination of... smells. And stuff.' The muscles in his jaw are working but it's mostly out of smile-restraint, not anger or anything.
She is and he is still attempting composure even though that's sexy and adorable and they're both standing there in blankets and really he's not sure how this point was reached so quickly but he's kind of glad it's here.
'Very creative; I must applaud your ingenuity.'
In that case NO HOLDING BACK
"Combination, huh?" She's teasing him. "Like perfume and shampoo, soap, that sorta thing?" And that's a serious question. She's trying to mix up the teasing with the serious so he doesn't get too uncomfortable. She really is curious about the whole scent thing.
It's a good point to have reached. She's not even entirely aware they've reached it though because she's focusing on everything else at the moment. However, she is aware that this is the first time they're really mentioned seduction in any form and that's definitely a mile marker for them.
"I figured, Time Lord. Had to pull out all the stops. Regular guy stuff wouldn't work."
And that's part teasing and part serious. She doesn't really expect anything to come of this 'seduction'. Not to mention it honestly wasn't something she planned or even considered beforehand. It just sort of...happened. Oh granted, wearing his clothes was a plan but that was more because they smelled like him then trying to get her smell all over them.
AHHH
It was a very spur-of-the-moment comment on his part, which is probably a good sign given the mile-marker-ness. Get too planned about those sorts of things and you'll completely talk yourself out of it.
'Course it wouldn't. Quite special, me. Normal stuff definitely wouldn't work.'
Which is somewhat ridiculous considering he's currently standing in the kitchen in a blanket, but it's part playing back with her and part natural defense, assuming he's above such normal human things even if it isn't always the case and he's probably a better person for it.
no subject
"Should I wear less of it? Never thought 'bout it might be too much." She's not doubting herself or thinking this is a bad thing but she wants it to be...comfortable to be around her on a regular basis. If laying off the perfume will help, well she's more interested in what he thinks she smells like then she is anyone else.
Definitely a good sign and she thinks she likes this spur of the moment stuff. She could get used to it happening on occasion.
His playing back and natural defense gets a bit smile out of her. The tea is brewing for the moment and she'll let it do that while she watches him.
"Definitely wouldn't work. No interest in seein' me in lingerie at all, yeah?" Oh she's teasing him now. "Can't blame you. Blanket's awfully sexy."
I wish I had one of the other 'what' icons. the :o ones.
The occasionalness of it likely depends on how well all of this winds up playing out in the end. But that's an obvious sort of thing.
'I...' Lingerie and Rose. Needs a moment. 'H-Hadn't thought-, wellll, no I wouldn't say there's no...' Also still sort of working that out. He's already told her she wore the toga-blanket better than he did, and knows she's teasing, but she's created a train of thought that can't that easily be dismissed.
Oh it's a pain not having access to all your icons for whatever reason
"Won't change anything then."
Oh that was entirely her point. Rose Tyler can be conniving and she thinks this is a good point to introduce a thought or two that can't be easily dismissed. That one is convenient because he's seen her pictures. She grins and leans over to kiss his cheek.
"We'll stick with blankets for the mo'."
It's her way of saying 'think about it but no hurry'.
no subject
'Thank you.'
Yeah those pictures really didn't help with the speed at which he was able to envision Rose in lingerie. At all. They are also not helping getting rid of the mental images now that he's got them. After the kiss, he glances over at her when she starts speaking. He's not convinced her toga-blanket is really going to be all that helpful now after having introduced such things to the conversation. Still a little bit red.
'I'm not sure how well that'll work now but thank you again. Least they've got to be warmer than that-... What you could be wearing.'
Consider it done.
no subject
"Welcome." Lots of grinning up at him as she says it.
Oh good. Her very slow, although not entirely, always intentional, seduction is working then. Yeah, the toga blanket probably doesn't hinder things much, particularly with the black bra strap showing.
"We decide I'm gonna be wearin' other things, I think we'll find other ways to keep me warm."
no subject
'I'm sure we can find you more blankets. Set aside a couple of my shirts. Not all of them, because I would oddly enough like to be able to wear the majority of my clothing. How is the tea coming along?'
no subject
"Doctor, I think blankets would defeat the purpose. Your shirts, however, might not. Also I promise, I'll stick to wearing one or two of your shirts from now on. Maybe a pair of pants."
She turns around pours the tea into mugs and then hands off a mug to him. She holds the sugar bowl up for him to add a great deal of sugar if he wants to it.
no subject
He is ridiculously happy that the tea is ready and in mugs and that he can stop talking about this now. As to the sugar, he does avail himself somewhat well of it, but not to ludicrous amounts, then grins a thanks at her and looks down into his mug while he swirls it about.
no subject
"I'll go look when we finish tea, yeah." She ponders that a moment. "So's that mean you won't be wearin' 'em anymore? 'Cause that sorta loses the appeal. They become mine 'stead of yours and they don't smell like you anymore."
no subject
The tea is nice and warm and he holds it up close to his face, cupped in his blanket covered hands. Blows on it a little bit and then tilts it towards him to have a drink of it. Instantly warmer.
no subject
She takes a sip of her tea as well. Mostly to keep herself from apologizing again for making his entire wardrobe smell like her and driving him crazy even if there is a tiny bit of satisfaction that she has the ability to drive him crazy.
no subject
He balances his tea in one hand while reaching up to try and scratch at his face through the blanket, which as one can imagine doesn't work that well. Carefully continuing to balance it, he shakes the other arm around until he's got it out from under the blanket without revealing more than the shoulder and tries again, then holding the tea in a manner much less conducive toward spilling. 'Good tea. Works with the blankets. And here I'd always thought that was more hot cocoa's territory.'
no subject
She's trying not to stare at that one exposed shoulder. It's odd how something so innocent has such an effect just because she's not used to seeing it. His words pull her attention away and she hurriedly takes a sip of her tea, burning her tongue a bit. "Nothin' wrong with hot cocoa but you can't drink loads of it the way you can tea."
no subject
It takes him a little while to notice because she's got an exposed shoulder that he's also trying not to stare at, and the easiest way he could think of was to just not meet her eyes. But he happened to have caught her eyeline and saw what she was doing and felt a little better about the whole thing. At least he's not the only one bent on looking at 'new' things. Her statement does make him a little incredulous. 'You can't drink hot cocoa like you can drink hot tea? Have you met small versions of your own species?' He's smiling though, still sipping at tea.
no subject
They can't even say they're behaving like high school kids, more like middle school kids. At least it's a mutual thing. Otherwise this would be awkward. She grins a bit at him and shakes her head. "All right then, once you get past the age of 'small' tea's better for that sorta thing." Because really, he's got a good point.
no subject
Yeahhh, they're sort of oddly managing to regress without going backwards at all. It's odd. He smiles a little in victory, because being right. 'Probably. I still like a good cup of cocoa, although drinking too much tends to... Well, you've seen a sugar high. Tea's got caffeine in though, usually, so that does the same thing just for different reasons.'
no subject
They're acclimating or something like that. She grins, almost a laugh. "Didn't mind the sugar high. Might be a bit much dressed in blankets though."
