Summary; They both need to get their minds off sad things, so Estelle invites Tyr over for some dinner!

[It’s been a hard few weeks on Estelle, but she had been doing everything to hold herself up. Everything would be okay, she knew it would be. Though, without Rita there, she really didn’t know who to turn to in hard times. And Yuri? She wouldn’t dare put any more pressure on him than he already has now. It wouldn’t be right of her. Same with Flynn. Yet she remembered there was one person she may be able to speak to, and also may need some comfort himself.

Contacting Tyr, she had invited him over for dinner. Figuring out a dish he rather enjoyed, at least from what she heard from him, she started to prepare some beef stew. It was warm, filling and something about the dish itself was comforting. By inviting him over, she also invited him to cook with her if he would so like. If not, he could simply take comfort in the dining room knowing that he has a friend here to support him. A friend who knew Rita well and they could perhaps talk about the good times they had with her, rather than dwelling on her absence.]

[ Tyr really didn't get out that much anymore save when he went to work or went out with Ted. When the invitation from Estelle came, though, the fact it gave him an excuse to go out again wasn't as important to him as the fact that it came from Estelle. Since Rita left and Yuri forgot him, he felt like he needed an excuse to visit the beach house now (even though being worried about her and the others should be enough of a reason). Still, being invited over for dinner with her was a great excuse to see Estelle and talk to her in person and see how she was doing. ...And having dinner with someone else was always nice anyway.

He arrived at the house a bit earlier than he usually would and simply let himself in, pocketing his key. Maybe I should return this key now, he thought but dismissed the idea for the moment.

The smell that greeted him when he came in brought a smile to his face. He was a little surprised that she actually remembered what he liked, but really, she seemed like the kind of person who would be attentive to things like that. ]

Estellise? [ He called just to announce himself in case she didn't already hear him come in. ...And so he wouldn't scare her by just wandering around looking for her. ]

[Estelle was unaware that Tyr had a key, but she wasn’t terribly surprised when he came in on his own. He seemed to be someone who had acquired trust from everyone here, and well, with how close he was to Rita, it would be surprising that he wasn’t in possession of such a key. If he moved to return it, she would simply tell him to keep it. To have his company and just someone she knows and trusts to come over when he simply feels like, it would be nice.

Hearing her name, she turned towards the voice with a soft smile on her face.]

Tyr, you made it!

[She really was happy to see him. Right now, he was one of the very people supporting her, even if he wasn’t aware of that fact. He’s one of the reasons she can stay strong and still smile even though her world is seemingly crumbling beneath her.]

I’m making beef stew. I do hope that is alright!

[She figured it was since he told her he was fond of this dish. Remembering little facts about people is one of the things Estelle does best along with being able to observe little things, such as when a person enjoys something or is simply putting up with something just because. After a moment, she motioned to the table.]

You can sit down. I should be done with this shortly.

[Yes, she had also invited him to cook, but she didn’t want him to feel like he had to either. She had invited him over, so she should be the one to show hospitality and not make her guests work. With a recipe book open next to the pot, she threw in a few vegetables that it had told her to put in. The exact amount, in fact. After that, she stirred it and allowed it to continue simmering.]

[ Being the spoiled sort who was always waited on, Tyr's first instinct was to just sit and let her cook. And really, if this was last month, he would have happily sat down and waited for her to finish. Smiling back at her warmly, he shook his head and continued towards her. ]

Nah, I'll help you out. At least with serving.

[ He didn't think she was a bad cook, after all. It smelled, and when he peered over her shoulder, it definitely didn't look bad either. And she was right that it was one of his favourites. Even if it wasn't Gremio's, a pot of shimmering stew still brought back happy memories.

It made him wonder if there was anything like that for Estelle that he could do for her... Even if she didn't act like it, and she smiled and invited him over like this, he knew it must be hard for right now. It wasn't right that so much was happening at once, and she was probably the one holding the house together - Yuri didn't remember the City or Flynn, Flynn lost his best friend, and they all lost Rita. He isn't sure what he'd do if he were her...but probably the same thing. ]

[To be quite honest, Estelle was doing everything in her power to keep herself together. Everything. To just smile like she normally does. But in return she gets smiles out of everyone else, and that’s honestly what makes her happy. Even if it’s not the same, she can’t be selfish and pout because things aren’t the way they used to be.

Seeing him peer over her shoulder, she couldn’t help but ask out of curiosity:]

Does it look okay? I have been following the recipe book we have.

[At least she was a safe cook. Though at his offer, she pointed towards the cupboards and drawers that held the plates and utensils.]

If you would like to get the plates and silver wear out, I would really appreciate that.

[While she would have been completely okay with him just sitting down and waiting for her to serve him, she appreciated that he was willing to help her out with these small things. It simply meant that she would be able to serve dinner to them even faster. Stirring the pot a little more, she nodded and gave a smile. This should turn out well, or so she hopes.

And oh, a cook should always taste their cooking before serving it out, right? That was one of the basics that Yuri had taught her when he first instructed her on cooking. Taking a spoon out, she scooped up a spoonful and blew on it to cool it down. Taking a sip of it, she was satisfied. Honestly, it wasn’t the best, but for the Princess, it was more than good enough. She thought she could serve it as is!]

Okay, it should be ready now if you want some!

[Said as she gets a ladle out, ready to give Tyr a serving of the stew she made especially for him.]
