When; February the 13th
Rating; R for blood and potential violence
Characters; Alois Trancy
ronderotarel and Karl Fei-Ong
worldofourown
Summary; Alois trusts people when he really shouldn't. These are the results.
Log;
He never went to this side of the City before. Nobody is around, and the area looks pretty abandoned. He looks around, waiting for that guy of whom he doesn't even know the name. He's kind of excited. It's the first time in years that he gets to go somewhere all by himself.

[OOC: Heh they'll post in a little bit. I'll add them to the log tags XD.]

[OOC: If it's a certain Butler, poor Karl is dead!dead! xD]

He has a great deal of experience with monsters, and the thought that there might be some danger to the public hiding below ground is enough to draw him near.
Happening to pass near this building, his heightened senses pick up on the sounds of a struggle, a familiar voice... He does not so much travel into the building as appear within it, teleporting to the scene. His sword appears in his hand at the sight of the blood. He recognizes both Alois and the man from the earlier transmission, and it's not too difficult for the general to determine what's happening here.]
Release him.
OMG! Sephie! xD
[Withdrawing his fangs from Alois' neck, Karl turns. He didn't hear the intruder come in, which is odd. His keen senses don't miss much. But he's not afraid yet. Merely annoyed at being interrupted.]
And who, exactly, are you?

Stay still.
[Scowling, he faces Sepiroth fully.]
This isn't your concern. Leave.
Why hello there! :3
Sephiroth has seen this man, or whatever he is, fight already. He knows more about Karl than Karl does about him. His eyes glow in the building's dim interior, his pupils slits. He doesn't introduce himself. He speaks very calmly, his voice cold. If Karl makes another aggressive move, he'll strike.]
I don't allow monsters to attack children.
I won't ask again.

Oh Karl Ruuuun!...But he won't. Yet xD
[Who does this person think he is? Karl considers using Alois as hostage, but decides against it. The whiny little boy isn't worth such trouble. On the other hand, a hand-to-hand fight? With much larger prey? That promises to be far more interesting.]
[Unceremoniously, he lets Alois drop. From his other hand, a red spike emerges. Glowering, he aims it at Sephiroth.]
I'll teach you to get in my way!
[Saying so, he fires the spike.]
[OOC: Beat him up a little. But let him escape. He needs to learn a thing or two about discretion in the City xD]

A projectile attack--easy enough to dodge. He's never been struck in battle, not even when under the most heavy fire.
Suddenly, he's not where he was an instant ago, but in striking distance of Karl, his long sword swinging to drive the man back, away from Alois. The sword glows faintly blue.]
Will you?
[[OOC: sounds good to me!]]

DW is giving me issues Dx
Who...?
What are you?
Me too, it's okay!
I'm a SOLDIER.
[That's true enough, and it's all the information he feels the need to impart. His sword stills, but his air of readiness makes it clear that that's a temporary state.]
Limit your predation to the monsters. I won't allow this, and neither will the others here.

[His lips curve. Oh, yes. He does.]
I already told you. This ...
[Eye-blink fast, he swipes at Sephiroth with his claw.]
...Is not your concern!
[OOC: Let the ass-whupping begin x3]

He dodges the claw, moving far more quickly now, then swings his sword, and as he does, the pale bluish light takes on a form of its own as a beam of energy, cutting through the air like a secondary weapon, and Karl had better move quickly if he doesn't want to get cut by the metal blade or the slicing beam of light.]

Ugh...!
[He smells singed flesh and coppery blood. His own. Clutching his injured arm, Karl backs away warily. As a Chevalier, he can endure extreme physical punishment. His reaction is more outraged than pained.]
Bastard! How dare you spoil my fun!?
[Lifting his uninjured arm, he lets a barrage of red spikes fly. They zigzag through the air like deadly whistling arrows. But it is simply a ruse. Something to distract Sephiroth.]
[He needs to find a way out of here.]
no subject
He's not particularly interested in banter, just as he's not interested in committing murder here, so the attacks are aimed to harm rather than kill--so far.]
That's of no interest to me.
[And his sword swings again. His own expression is impassive, but his actions are not. This man is sloppy, and seemingly mad. He's had enough of madmen.]
no subject
Wha- ?
[It's all he manages before that oversized blade bites into his torso. Blood splatters. Karl snarls aloud in anger and pain. Reeling, he staggers backward. His eyes dart frantically for an escape route.]
[There. A boarded-up window.]
[With his last burst of strength, he fires another row of spikes. They whoosh through the air, helter-skelter. At the same time, Karl lunges for the window. He can just make it!]
no subject
For a moment, Sephiroth considers it. He could likely kill him, unless the man has more strength that he's not showing--not that he isn't very strong, far more so than any ordinary human--but he reminds himself, he doesn't want to kill or make enemies here.
He'd primarily wanted to defeat him and prevent Alois from getting himself killed. He doesn't drop his guard, but he doesn't move in for another blow. Let Karl know he was allowed to escape. He didn't win his own escape.]
*I'll get you next time, Gadgeeeeet* xD
[Free.]
[Disoriented as he is, he can't supress the mad laugh rolling out. The sound trails eerily after him, echoing across the empty streets, as he melts into the gloom.]
no subject
It's only when Karl is well out of sight that he finally takes a deep breath and calms down a little bit.]
Thank you.
[His voice is a shaky whisper. He'd like to say much more than that, to thank Sephiroth a hundred times, but he can't. He's still on the verge of a hysterical breakdown, and all he can do is cry harder.]
no subject
You're welcome.
[He's not a particularly comforting man, but he's not unsympathetic. He crouches down, putting himself at Alois' level.]
You said you have a home here. I'll take you there.
no subject
[He's crying and doesn't know what else to say. He wants to repeat "thank you", but he can't bring himself to speak.
Instinctively, he leans forward and wraps his arms around Sephiroth's neck; tightly enough to make it seem as if he were trying to strangle him.
He's always been very touchy-feely. Back home he hugged all sorts of things. Tea cans, bird cages, trunks, strangers-- yet he feels Sephiroth deserves to be hugged a little more than all those other things did.]
