Summary; Liz and Rose decide to have a slumber party

Rose has cheerfully booted the Doctor out for the evening, telling him to go spend some time with himself. She's ordered pizza, bought a large quantity of ice cream and some Baily's Irish Cream. She's got the teeny bopper music out along with the romantic comedies. She's tossed all the pillows from the bed into the hammock bed along with blankets. Everything is set for a slumber party.

The flat has been picked up fairly well but the dining room is in the process of being painted like a planet that's primarily red and black. The living room is painted like the TARDIS console room, the hammock is the main furniture and there's a lego representation of the Eiffel Tower in one corner.

When someone knocks at the door, she doesn't stop to consider who it might be. Of course it's Liz.

"Any risk that he'll crash?" She asks as she steps inside, dropping her bag and the pillow down into the seat of the first available chair.

The only slumber party crashing she'd experienced that didn't include parents checking up on them was done by Maria's cousin, and she wasn't sure if it was because Sean felt left out or if he just wanted to drive them all batty. Possibly both.

Rose considers that a moment. "Don't think so. Only if he hears screamin' then we'd probably want him to."

The Doctor would probably be crashing because both he and Rose have separation anxiety.

"Are you hungry? We've got crisps, cupcakes and some biscuits."

"Crisps?"

She tilts her head to the side, curious as to what that is. Her British slang lingo isn't as good as it could be. That's more something Alex would be up on, not her.

Rose furrows her brow for a moment, coming up with the right word. "Americans call them chips. We could order chips too. English ones. American fries."

Rose will get her up to speed and Liz can get her up on American slang.

"Crisps are chips and your chips are my fries. Got it."

Oh, she doesn't doubt it. She's picked up a lot already just from spending time around Rose and listening to the Doctors prattle on over the network.

"You know, I think I will take some crisps."

"Gettin' it already. So what sorta American words have you got besides fries?"

Rose grins at the way she picks it up and grabs a bag of crisps from the cabinet, passing it over to Liz.

"Want a fizzy drink?"

Liz opens the bag and takes out a handful, setting the bag down on the counter as she pulls a chip - crisp - into her mouth. She deliberately avoided eating before coming over so that she could indulge in all the snacking on junk food she could. Sometimes, a girl's gotta let go a little and just pig out.

"Fizzy drink... That's a soda, right?"

Rose is all about the pigging out. Most of the time, she and the Doctor live like feral teenagers.

"Yeah, soda or pop." She's already reaching into the fridge to get the fizzy drinks out. "We've got some movies too. Coupla romantic comedies and some bad horror sorta things if you'd rather."

"Romantic comedy," she practically shouts, throwing her hands up in the air in excitement. "Horror would be too reminiscent of some of these curses. I need to laugh for a change. I think I've done enough screaming to last me a lifetime."

Alien drama on top of the curses? Yep, totally set on screams.

"Romantic comedy it is then."

She flips through the movies, choosing one and popping it in the dvd player before she hops up to snap a pillow and a very pink blanket from her room.

"The curses can sorta get you down if you don't find some good 'tween 'em."
