When; Friday night
Rating; pg, pg-13ish because Ed can be vulgar
Characters; Evil Ed, Pepper Potts and Charlie McGee
Summary; Pepper and Charlie are cooking together. Evil Ed stops by to see his girlfriend.
Log;
Charlie's at the stove, glass of wine in one hand, cooking fork in the other. She's staring into a pan, chicken carefully saute-ing inside. It's too quiet, though. Much too quiet so, wine glass set down, she reaches for her iPod and puts on something of a theme-song for Charlie and Pepper. American Woman by Lenny Kravitz starts and she grins at the older woman before pointing at the fridge.
"There's a small bowl of shredded parmesan in the fridge. Can you grab it for me?"
And then it's back to the chicken, turning it carefully. "Thanks for coming over, by the way."

He's not exactly looking forward to this. It's not as if he eats, so it seems fairly pointless, an obvious attempt to ease at least someone into the idea -- he's kept an eye on the feeds, he knows there are many who aren't exactly thrilled about her choice. He doesn't want to do this, but she asked, and in light of the rabbit impression he pulled when he was cursed? He figures he probably owes her.
Probably.

But this is Ed.
She's grinning when she answers. He's already been invited in once. She doesn't have to do it again, does she?
"Hey," Still, a subtle tilt of her head to the interior of her apartment and she steps aside to let him in. "I'm happy you're here. There's a friend of mine I want you to meet."
Because that's what people do, right? Introduce the people they're in a relationship with to the people they're friends with?

"Pepper Potts, nice to meet you."

"Same; I never thought I'd get the chance to actually meet you in person. I'm Ed."

Ed gets an arm around his waist and a half-hug. "I may have mentioned you a few dozen times, Pepper." Because she has people to brag about and to. It's the best feeling.

"Well, I hope I can live up to your expectations." She honestly hadn't expected to hear that Charlie told her friends about her. Yes, she'd talked about Charlie with other people, but they all already knew her. Strange to be the person talked about for once.
