don't you speak
When; Wednesday
Rating; PG-13 maybe, for Pig's mouth
Characters; Carla and Pig
Summary; Looking for you.
Log;
[It's been years since Carla has needed to hunt someone down in the labyrinth of a cityscape. She used to be reasonably good at it, had been taught by a weasel how to blend in with the rats and lure their secrets out of them with cold eyes and flirtations. Cotnari had always imparted valuable lessons to her, the father she never had but always needed--(It hurts, when she thinks about him, about how disappointed he would be if he could see his pretty Carlita now. She tries not to think about it.) She had made her way in Fenwick with those lessons.
How much do they matter in a City where everyone is strangers, however? Well, she'll find out, and there is a new kind of hunter lurking in the back of her mind.
It takes a little asking, and a little nosing about, but when she has his scent... she has it. It's the second time she's been down to the beach in the span of a week.]

Jesus, Runt.
[ He doesn't notice Carla--not when he's lost in his thoughts and concentrating on doing exactly fuck-all. ]
Half our or so. Fuck.

Hello, Pig.
[She stays back a step, and while her tone is not overly friendly, there's no threat to it either. She hadn't tried to stop him fucking up Stephen, and she's not here to drag him to the cops now.]

[She's not that much different really. Lost the puppy-fat from her cheeks, but her features are the same, clearly defined. The real difference is in the air around her. The younger one commanded attention, demanded it really. The older one is drawn too thin, tired. Scarred.]
I enjoyed watching.

Deserved it. Everyone fuckin' deserves. No leave Pig be. No go. Just stay.

They deserve it if they aren't going to hit you back.
[She shrugs.]
That's what cowards get.

Everyone in this fuckin' city, they be deservin' it. Cowards or no. All fulla the happy, they are.

They don't know any better. But I think I'd get a little bored, beating up every feckless twit with a stupid smile on his face.

Gotta do somethin' till Runt, she comes.

[She's not seen anyone she knows, although... Saya had seen Barbet. The thought makes her uncomfortable. The only solace she has is that Saya has promised to kill him if he appears here again.]
A lot of us never seen anyone from home here.

No. Nah, Runt an' Pig, we be pals. We be friends, we be--we be together until the world ends.
no subject
That's sooner than you'd think.
