Xanadu is buzzing this afternoon with with food stands and booths with games to play and trinkets to sell or win. There are a couple of stages where people play instruments, sing, juggle, and otherwise entertain.

People donated money, time and materials to bring everything together. Some areas are very polished and professional while others have more of a homemade touch, but it blends together nicely and there is a little something for everyone. A little further from the main attractions there is space for relaxing or playing a game of frisbee or catch.

As the evening settles upon the City, paper lanterns light up an outdoor dance floor and a band plays a range of music from romantic to spirited. There are also tables set up for those who would prefer to star or people gaze.

Not with the owl, the puff, and the cat trying to get my attention as much as he would.

He's already starved for attention with us. [ Rhada, Biscuit, Waffle, the goldfish, and Pancake. Eames doesn't know when people started bringing so many pets into his household but he isn't sure he approves - it's starting to smell too much like animals. ] But I understand.

[She raises an eyebrow at him, settling more comfortably on the ground and gathering the dog into her arms, turning him to face Eames and going as far as taking up a pudgy paw and waving it. And then, disarmingly,]

I've heard you don't get on with Waffle.

[ Nooo, not the corgi face. Eames looks away, past them and toward some of the other entertainers in the vicinity. ]

Waffle gets on with me just fine. I'm less than enthused about the bird, myself, yeah.
