Xanadu is buzzing this afternoon with with food stands and booths with games to play and trinkets to sell or win. There are a couple of stages where people play instruments, sing, juggle, and otherwise entertain.

People donated money, time and materials to bring everything together. Some areas are very polished and professional while others have more of a homemade touch, but it blends together nicely and there is a little something for everyone. A little further from the main attractions there is space for relaxing or playing a game of frisbee or catch.

As the evening settles upon the City, paper lanterns light up an outdoor dance floor and a band plays a range of music from romantic to spirited. There are also tables set up for those who would prefer to star or people gaze.

[Wilson's stopped by during the evening hours after his shift, because he's of the general belief that any bright spot, any attempt to unwind and have some fun in the City is worth latching onto. For everything everyone puts up with here, as bad as things can get, keeping a perspective that lets oneself embrace the good is all the more important.

So he's wandering through, contentedly enough, casually eying the stands and booths as he makes his way around Xanadu.]

[ McCoy looks rather relaxed, for once, and while he's not actively seeking anyone out, he's not going to ignore them either. Catching Wilson's eye, he gives the other man a nod and raises his glass of sweet tea before taking a sip. ]

[It is rather notable, how relaxed McCoy looks. Not a cause for concern, of course, but something that's nice to see. He returns the nod with a slight smile and, steadily but not urgently, makes his way over.]
