Xanadu is buzzing this afternoon with with food stands and booths with games to play and trinkets to sell or win. There are a couple of stages where people play instruments, sing, juggle, and otherwise entertain.

People donated money, time and materials to bring everything together. Some areas are very polished and professional while others have more of a homemade touch, but it blends together nicely and there is a little something for everyone. A little further from the main attractions there is space for relaxing or playing a game of frisbee or catch.

As the evening settles upon the City, paper lanterns light up an outdoor dance floor and a band plays a range of music from romantic to spirited. There are also tables set up for those who would prefer to star or people gaze.

Yes. [ Past hosts very much enjoyed riding, though for some of them, it was the only means of transportation. ] I appreciate that you brought it to my attention. [ In a manner of speaking, at any rate. ]

It was no trouble. [ It was only one conversation, anyway. It's not that he felt he owed Ivy anything, but he's not heartless, he does feel bad that she experienced a family only to have it be a lie, particularly with his own inability to settle in such a way. Through and through, it was deception. ] Rupert bought me a hat and then replaced it, I assume he likes me enough to agree to small things.

I hope that giving riding lessons will not be any trouble to him. [ She's relatively certain, at least, that she won't be too bad at it, which should make it easier.

The whole deception would have been less hurtful if it had not given her exactly what she wanted, in so many ways. ]

I don't think he'd accept my proposal if it was so much of a bother, [ Eames clarifies lightly, shaking his head. ] He does only have the one horse, however.

I would not be able to ride two at the same time. [ Trying to match his lighter tone. ]

[ At that, he does have to chuckle a bit, rubbing a finger underneath his nose. ] No, I guess not. Maybe when you're taller.

I would have to grow much taller. [ Pause. ] Or become a circus artist.

If you've any interest, I bet you could ask any of these fine people for some tips of the trade.

[ He gestures toward the performers. ]

I do not have any interesting in becoming a circus performer.
