Xanadu is buzzing this afternoon with with food stands and booths with games to play and trinkets to sell or win. There are a couple of stages where people play instruments, sing, juggle, and otherwise entertain.

People donated money, time and materials to bring everything together. Some areas are very polished and professional while others have more of a homemade touch, but it blends together nicely and there is a little something for everyone. A little further from the main attractions there is space for relaxing or playing a game of frisbee or catch.

As the evening settles upon the City, paper lanterns light up an outdoor dance floor and a band plays a range of music from romantic to spirited. There are also tables set up for those who would prefer to star or people gaze.

He's cute. Back home I have a bulldog named Clooney. My sisters insisted I needed a dog to keep me company. So Desi goes with me to pick out a dog from the pound. He was a tiny little thing.

[He smirks.] Not so tiny anymore. But she named him Clooney cause she's always had this crush on Clooney the actor.

George Clooney the bulldog. Was he the sort of peppered grey that also drove the women wild? [ Eames prompts casually. Clooney dog would be much classier than Pancake, he bets. ]

Little brown, grey and white. Cute little dog. I'm not home a lot but he's always happy to see me, you know?

[He lifts one shoulder in a half-shrug.] Dogs are good for that, making you feel wanted. [He grins at Pancake.] Even thick ones.

Sure. [ Pancake is the same way, happy to see anyone whenever they come back to the rowhouse - Arthur and Ariadne especially, of course, but he still does run into the ankles of Yusuf and himself. ] My roommates seem to enjoy him enough to keep him around, in any case.
