Xanadu is buzzing this afternoon with with food stands and booths with games to play and trinkets to sell or win. There are a couple of stages where people play instruments, sing, juggle, and otherwise entertain.

People donated money, time and materials to bring everything together. Some areas are very polished and professional while others have more of a homemade touch, but it blends together nicely and there is a little something for everyone. A little further from the main attractions there is space for relaxing or playing a game of frisbee or catch.

As the evening settles upon the City, paper lanterns light up an outdoor dance floor and a band plays a range of music from romantic to spirited. There are also tables set up for those who would prefer to star or people gaze.

[ The fruit is popped into his mouth, but he's watching her drink out of his cup. ]

Well. [ There's a pause, tongue flicking out to lick up a stray bit of chocolate from his lips. ] That's why you pick what we eat most days.

[She gives it back before it ends up dropped, although the straw definitely helps. There's always a box of them on their counter, there would be a lot more broken glasses in their household if there weren't. She's not terribly preoccupied with her worthless hands at the moment.]

I'm thinking we should take home a box of fried oreos.

[She smiles lazily, in a better mood than she has been all week. It's completely temporary, but she's not complaining.]

[ Carla has the straws as a necessity and Blonde has them because he likes them, save for in his coffee. It works out nicely. ]

Think they'd keep?
