Xanadu is buzzing this afternoon with with food stands and booths with games to play and trinkets to sell or win. There are a couple of stages where people play instruments, sing, juggle, and otherwise entertain.

People donated money, time and materials to bring everything together. Some areas are very polished and professional while others have more of a homemade touch, but it blends together nicely and there is a little something for everyone. A little further from the main attractions there is space for relaxing or playing a game of frisbee or catch.

As the evening settles upon the City, paper lanterns light up an outdoor dance floor and a band plays a range of music from romantic to spirited. There are also tables set up for those who would prefer to star or people gaze.

[ And guess who she's going to run into while he's busy inspecting the festival mirrors. If he stands this way he is super tall. His forehead is also gigantic.

[She sees him in the mirror and goes up behind him, standing on tip toe to put her chin on his shoulder. Now he looks like he's got a Rose head with a gigantic forehead growing out of his shoulder.]

I think we've never looked better. [ Smiling as he nudges her arm with his elbow. ]

Miss Tyler, how are you?

[She laughs and moves to stand next to him, her shoulder against his.]

'm brilliant. How're you? Enjoyin' the festival?

It's brilliant, look at all those happy faces.

Nothin' like food on a stick and games to make people happy.

I wonder if they have candyfloss.

[ Because, important. Grinning at her. ] We should find out.

[Huge grin back because yes, important.]

Definitely ought to find out. Bet there's pink and blue. [She holds her hand out to him.]

[ Curling their fingers together. ]

[It's funny how regardless of the regeneration, holding hands always seems right.]

I've had a go on the hammer game. [ Flexing his muscles. ] I'm not very strong, I'm afraid.

[She obligingly feels his muscle when he flexes, waggling her eyebrows as she does.] S'just not geared toward Time Lords.

[Yup, she's blaming the machine rather than letting his ego take any sort of hit. Bolstering a Time Lord's ego...it's sort of part of her job.]

Too right, Miss Tyler, what use have I for silly arcade hammer games?

[ But he's smiling, soft and fond. ] Have you been well?

S'xactly. Got much more serious things to occupy you.

[She returns the fond smile, squeezing his hand tightly.] Brilliant. I love this place. I get to have three of you.

[wearafeznow]

[ Musing aloud. ] I wonder what you'd call us, a flock? A bushel?

[Hee! She and the other Doctor played this sort of game just the other day so she answers quickly with a big grin.]

A tribe of Time Lords.

Ooh, a tribe. Sounds just about right.

[ With a delighted laugh. ] You’ve put some thought into this.

[She sort of shrugs a little.] The other day when I was trapped in a bubble, you with the hair and me spent the day comin' up with alliteratin' groups of animals like a rhumba of rattlesnakes and a snick of skunks, prick of porcupines, that sorta thing. Got me in shape for the alliteration thing.
