Xanadu is buzzing this afternoon with with food stands and booths with games to play and trinkets to sell or win. There are a couple of stages where people play instruments, sing, juggle, and otherwise entertain.

People donated money, time and materials to bring everything together. Some areas are very polished and professional while others have more of a homemade touch, but it blends together nicely and there is a little something for everyone. A little further from the main attractions there is space for relaxing or playing a game of frisbee or catch.

As the evening settles upon the City, paper lanterns light up an outdoor dance floor and a band plays a range of music from romantic to spirited. There are also tables set up for those who would prefer to star or people gaze.

Really. [ Hands on her hips. You're a smartass, aren't you? ] There's a line. Give me the rundown, already, yeah?

[ Yes, sometimes. ] There's plain, which is all right. The classic is covered with powdered sugar. Some people put brown sugar, cinnamon, jam, fruit with whipped cream... that sort of thing on it.

Powdered sugar. Fruit can fuck it up, if it's bad quality.

And if it's good quality?

Well, then it's good. But it's hit or miss.

Strawberries, if I have any.

[ Ordering one powdered sugar and one strawberry one. You get to eat the one she likes less. Be thankful, yeah. ]

Yessir. [ He gets a sloppy funnel-cake-salute. ]

[ Blonde chuckles, folding his arms to watch. ]

[ And a large bite of the other. Chew chew again. Tilting her head to consider for a moment. It's a tough choice. ]

All right, then.

[ And she's holding out the powdered sugar one to him. ] Here.

[ His arms unfold to take it, and he glances at it for a moment before looking back at her. ]

Prefer the strawberries?

[ With a smirk. ] They're good.

[ A beat. ] Want a bite?

[blonderazorshiv]

You got lucky. [ A bit of a smirk of her own.

And then a tilt of his head. ] Sure.

[waitedforyears]

[ Holding it out to him. ]

[blonderazorshiv]

[ And taking a bite. Omnomnom. ]

's good.
