Xanadu is buzzing this afternoon with with food stands and booths with games to play and trinkets to sell or win. There are a couple of stages where people play instruments, sing, juggle, and otherwise entertain.

People donated money, time and materials to bring everything together. Some areas are very polished and professional while others have more of a homemade touch, but it blends together nicely and there is a little something for everyone. A little further from the main attractions there is space for relaxing or playing a game of frisbee or catch.

As the evening settles upon the City, paper lanterns light up an outdoor dance floor and a band plays a range of music from romantic to spirited. There are also tables set up for those who would prefer to star or people gaze.

Do we even have Google in the City?

[ This is said as she tucks the paper into her sketchbook for safe keeping and shifts closer. It's been five months and though she never would have thought that Eames of all people would be one of the people she's closest with, he is, and he's designed her a tattoo and now she is going to give him a hug. In public. ]

[ Eames doesn't have an answer for that, letting out a small chuckle that disappears in her hair as she moves in to hug him. He returns it with one arm, hand resting between her shoulderblades. ]

You're welcome.

[ She doesn't keep the hug for long, shifting back up -- though admittedly sitting closer than she was before. ]

So you're coming with me to get it, right?

If you'd like, sure. I've not actually looked into tattoo shops within the City.

[ The arm that had been around her shoulders rests along the back of the bench. Pancake, jealous of their hug, props his front paws up on the seat of it, between them. ]

You can make sure I don't get hepatitis.

[ Pancake gets some scratches behind his ears before Ariadne shifts forward to haul him up onto her lap. Spoiled dog. ]

[ Pancake is a pup still under the impression he is a lapdog, even though he's a little more than a year old by now. Ariadne doesn't help in this, of course, and Pancake seeks to make himself comfortable, tongue lolling out of his mouth. Eames looks on with a raised brow, somewhat incredulous. ]

And keep you from getting infection, afterward.

[ As far as Ariadne's concerned, Pancake is a lapdog. He's small enough, after all, and his efforts to get comfortable are met with some cooing and more scritches. ]

I'd definitely appreciate that.

You're serious about getting one? [ He reaches over for himself to rub underneath Pancake's chin. ]

Yeah, I am. [ Spoiled, spoiled dog. ]

Where do you want to place it?

I think on my back, by my shoulder blade. I can show it off sometimes but keep it secret others.

As good of a place as any. Though I hear the lower back is always a classic placement.

I'm not getting a tramp stamp. [ A flick at his arm. ] I have standards.

[ The squint of his eyes is near doubtful but he raises his hand in surrender nevertheless. ] Whatever you say, then.

What brought you out? Just sketching?

[ Tramp stamps, Eames. Honestly. ]

I was on my way home from work, noticed the people and the food and decided to see what was going on.

[ He doesn't know your life... ]

Fair enough. What does Stark have you do at that place, anyway?

It depends on what needs to be done. There's a lot of playing with technology from other worlds.

Come across anything interesting as of yet?

That depends on your definition of interesting. Nothing involving dreams, though, if you were wondering.

[ He nods a bit, though, looking from her and Pancake back out to the entertainers. ]

It's not like people are bringing their architecture with them. I did get details on a magic castle once, though.

Surely you've more interests than just architecture. Though a magic castle does sound interesting enough.

More interesting than medical supplies.
