I don't need a parachute, baby, if I've got you

When; Post-dated to midnight on Tribble Tuesday
Rating; We'll go with PG because Ed.
Characters; locked to Evil Ed Lee and Charlie McGee
Summary; They had their first date taken from them and Charlie's going to try again, gdi
Log;

Here's the problem with dying and then coming back. You start appreciating idiotic, little things a bit more. And okay, so Ed and Charlie's first actual date wasn't little in her opinion. It was a Big Thing. A very big thing that had been taken from them with water and drugs and death. Charlie didn't want to do anything about being City Dead. That sounded way too risky at the moment. But she could make up for the date easily.

The chairs that she'd set up on the roof in her garden were put away and in it's place, where she'd been working on it for the last hour was a large hammock. It wasn't a two person hammock but Ed and Charlie never took up much space when they were together so that wasn't important and set up near the hammock was a spare television and the DVD player from her room.

There was a bag nearby with a couple DVDs Ed had mentioned he'd seen and enjoyed that Charlie'd never actually seen and a couple they'd watched together. She had no plans to leave the roof until the sun started coming up.

And there was food. Not much, and not really anything she'd want. Just gummi-worms and bottles from The Raven.

Phantom sat nearby, watching everything and Petrichor was busy sniffing around the bushes for more Tribbles and Charlie'd left a note in the apartment for Ed, telling her where she was but that was about it. No details as to why she was on the roof.

She'll just be over by a Tribble-detroyed strawberry plant, trying to see if any of it was salvageable as she waited for Ed.

It didn't take long. A note with just a location, and it was more than enough to get his attention; he skulked up the stairs, making his way to the roof on silent feet, and slipped outside, just watching for a few moments before approaching.

It was still weird. She didn't read as human, he couldn't feel her from across the space like he could before because there was nothing to pick up on. No breathing, no heartbeat, and she didn't even give off that Other that his kind or the like did. She was just...not there. She smelled like herself, sure, but that was about the only thing besides her movements that gave her away.

But it didn't stop him from ambling over, trying to see how close he could get before she noticed.

Hi, McGee.

"But where's the fun in that? It's like...instinct. I can't help it. It's in my bones or some shit," he explained, mock serious, but the smirk couldn't help but creep in anyway. Good. She was grinning; that was a good sign. He wrapped his arms around her, returned the kiss. "But I'll make an effort to remember...?"
