Summary; Exams are over and done with, and Howard's parents are out of town for the weekend. He's got free reign of the mansion, which includes the wine cellar and generally huge alcohol stash. It's party time and everyone's invited.

[ There are plenty of rooms within the mansion for everyone to find something to do. There are several wide-screen TVs, games consoles, thousands of movies to choose from, music blurting loud for those in the mood to dance, and in every room is a large and varied collection of alcohol and snacks. There's also a pool around back and a hot tub, and there are no restrictions.

Howard will be wandering around, joining in with everyone at some point or another, but the main goal is for everyone to celebrate, let down their hair, and have as much fun as they possibly can. ]


[ OOC: This is open to anyone and everyone no matter what school they're from or how they heard about it, so feel free to bring everyone along. ]

[ Howard doesn't do bad for friends, but he needs to make up for the lack of attention he gets from his parents, and he loves to draw in a big crowd, put on a show, so he's switching between keeping people in drinks and greeting them at the door, taking hold of the microphone and introducing drunk guests willing to step up to do karaoke.

Feel free to stop and chat to him no matter where he happens to be. ]

[Karaoke, Steve's not doing it, Howard. He's not you can't make him.

But he is coming up to say hello.]

[ But he can try, and he plans to.

He's always got a smile for Steve, an arm to drape over his broad shoulders. ] Steve, buddy, glad y'could make it. You up for a go? C'mon, y'know you wanna.

[He gives a laugh, though]

[ Amy makes her way over to Howard, leaning in to brush a quick kiss against his cheek. ] So, free reign over the mansion, huh?

[ Howard likes Amy for several reasons, but especially the loose affectionate side. ] I ain't one to let these opportunities pass by. Y'having a good time?

Smart man. [ Loose affectionate covers it very well. ] 'course I am. You know me.

[Steve is here for two reasons - to make sure Rosella and Tony don't start some mad game of spin the bottle and to hang out with Bucky in a place that could be considered public.

Of course he might end up having to ask someone to the dance tomorrow if she shows up.]

[ If Amy's surprised to see Steve without Bucky in his general vicinity, she doesn't let on. See, she can do this whole secret thing. ]

[He smiles when she comes over - aw, Amy.]

How're you? [ Leaning against the wall near him. Inconspicuous, okay. ]

[Sometime midway into the evening, Rosella comes trotting along to find Steve, looking unlike herself in two distinct ways:

One is that she's scowling, which is slightly unusual. The other is that she's about four inches shorter than she usually appears, because she's barefoot and carrying her shoes in one hand.]

Do you know the guy in the green trucker cap and the ugly gray sweatpants? I think he's on the public school swim team?

[Steve looks down at her - why did she take her shoes off?]

Yes?

[He doesn't have long to wait to find out.]

He's out back throwing girls into the pool. So I came inside to talk to you instead.

[Rosella likes parties.

It's probably cliche to say that this is ~her element~ or her ~natural habitat~ or some related and utterly cheesy metaphor, but the simple fact is she likes being looked at and she's comfortable in a crowd, and with the stress of exams finally behind her, she's looking forward to a night of music and dancing and mingling. Well, aside from the night of music and dancing and mingling she's planning to have tomorrow, that is. Consider this pre-gaming before the main event.

She's got a soda in her hand and a ridiculous pair of heels on her feet, and she's weaving her way toward an empty chair by the pool, looking for a place to sit down and relax in the open evening air.]

[ Rhodey's already tipsy by the time he gets to the party, Tony in tow, thanks to a few shots of sake, which only means he's grinning widely and very happy to tell anyone about his plans to maybe join the military.

Approach with caution. ]

[ Howard never knows where he stands with Rhodey, but it never stops him from going over and throwing caution to the wind. ]

Rhodes, pal, glad y'could make it.

[warmachine]

You know how it is, heard it through the grapevine and thought I'd come say hi. [ Slapping him on the shoulder. Look, if you call him pal, he'll behave like it. Maybe. ]

How are you doing, man?

[ Come on, Rhodey, he considers you a pal, and it's lacking the condensation it sometimes carries. ]

Until the old folks get home, I'm feeling the freedom we got ourselves. It ain't like I'm slow or nothing, but even I had a tough time with the exams.

[He may be young and human now, but Lockdown is always up for a party. He's also gotten used to people staring at all the piercings in his face by now. Not like he isn't used to getting weird looks, what with his real body being a mismatched nightmare.

Now where's the booze?]

[troubler]

[ Clint doesn't care for Howard much, as an orphan who always had to make do he doesn't have much time for the flashy showing off, but he goes where the alcohol takes him, and if it doesn't cost him any favours then he can put it aside for one night. It's not like he really cares on way or the other.

He'll be the guy who's got the whiskey, and it's good stuff too, better than he normally gets his hands on, smoking his way through a pack of cigarettes and moving around to where the fun is at. ]

[ She may have only seen them a few hours ago, but that doesn't mean she can't still give him a wide grin and make her way over to him when he gets to the party. ]

Hey. [ Stealing the cigarette from between his lips and taking a long drag herself. ]

[troubler]

[ He merely takes out another and lights it up, pouring her a drink he's thrown together and pushes it into her hand.

Speaking around the cigarette. ] You took your time. Distracted?

[charring]

[And there's a redhead hanging back, watching the party from a bit of a distance. Charlie is notorious for not drinking at parties. At least, not much. She'll have at best one alcoholic beverage and then hang back and watch everyone else get shitfaced. It's more fun for her.

So, she's leaning against a wall, her one beer in her hand and she's just watching everything.]

[ She catches his eye, and he's seen her around once or twice, mostly with Howard, so heads over, leans against the wall beside her. ]

Not having a good time?
