tampered | Date Night.

When; July 14th, Grab-Bag Weekend

Summary; Mindy and Serrure are both cursed to think they're older. They decide a date is in order. Said date is at the beach at night. There is mead, pizza, a bonfire and who knows what else.

Hours of swimming in the morning and hours of swimming at night wears out even the toughest person and even if Mindy Macready bounced around her New York as a costumed vigilante with one hell of a kill count and had been doing so since she was ten, she was tired. And sort of drunk but that's beside the point. The pizza box had been emptied and discarded and at some point, they'd gotten a bonfire started.

Now Mindy sat with her back against a log and a blanket she'd brought around her shoulders. She'd pulled shorts and a hoodie on over her swim attire so she wasn't actually cold. This was just comfortable. Everything was just nice right now and she had her chin on her knees, just quietly watching the fire.

"Nope. I know I look fantastic from every angle. There's no need for me to give myself a once-over." She turned her head, grinning and just looking at him for a moment. He was unfairly good-looking. She really was trying to not be so attracted to him because this was the City and for all she knew, he'd leave soon, even if she did say he wasn't allowed to go anywhere. And she likes having him so close, for most of the same reasons he liked having her at his side.

"Maybe. Dunno. I was almost considering being a cop like my dad but I think I'd get kicked out pretty fast. Plus, it'd...get in the way of a few things." There's a faint nose-wrinkle at the idea of something interfering with Hit Girl, clearly not something she wants.

"See, that's useful. I get cold too easily. Might be a bit jealous."

"What about becoming a costumed super hero?" Loki grinned at her, leaning in to tap her nose with one of his fingers. There was something about Mindy that drew him in, they meshed, complimented each other in a way he had never known with another, save his BFF who was long gone.

"I could find you, wherever your world is. Search you out and bring you to my world. Would you not like to see Asgard? To don a costume and develop your skills and fight alongside me?" Not that he got into many hand to hand battles, of course, his best weapons were wits and words.

"Already am one." And this is why Mindy shouldn't drink. Or at least shouldn't drink around people she trusts. She winces slightly hen she realizes what she said but then continues on because why not? "Hence the balisongs in my shoes earlier. They're not just because New York is horrible at best."

But then, what he said after that. She studied him with some uncertainty and a faint smile on her face. She shifted, turning to face him a bit more.

"You'd really try to find me?" Because she actually likes this idea a lot. Her world kind of sucks.

He half turned to look at her, "You never told me that." And faintly grinned, "What is your hero name? Kitty? Catgirl? The Smiling Cat?" He found those far more amusing than he ought to though he did take Mindy seriously. She carried knives, obviously she would be capable with them, if her attitude in general were anything to go by.

"I would. I will. I want to find you. To bring you to my world," Loki murmured, nuzzling against her hair. "If you would have me? If you would leave your world."

"I usually try not to. Mild-mannered super identity to keep, and all." Which is funny because there is nothing mild-mannered about Mindy at all. "I'm Hit Girl." She sounds a bit smug when she says this, grinning. She was proud of her accomplishments as a hero, even if they were violent and will probably land her in jail forever if they're connected with her.

Mindy relaxes against the nuzzling, eyes closing. Her arms find their way out of the blanket and around his waist and Mindy nods without hesitating. "I would. Readily and happily." She wasn't sure how it would be possible but the idea of not having him around wasn't one she really liked.

"I'm looking forward to it," she added in a soft whisper. She moved slightly, still holding him and still enjoying having him so close and when she opened her eyes, just to see if he really was serious, she was pleased to see his face wasn't that far from hers.

"Uh, Mindy, I sincerely loathe to be the one to break this to you, but you are as mild mannered as a tree branch to one's skull," Except he's smiling in that way that says he likes being the one to break it to her because he knows she already knows. "Hit Girl. That sounds... well, I begin to picture black latex and my mind drifts to all sorts of places. But, dangerous. Also a little illegal. What sorts of crime do you fight?"

He looks so much more relaxed and capable than what he's feeling because girls have never been a thing for Loki, he has been too busy running around trying learn and simultaneously prove that he has no intentions of wide scale destruction. So he is only going to go with what he sees on the television shows he watches- cue the theme music, dim the lights and he's leaning in to press his mouth lightly to her own as though sealing the promise.

At that, she has to laugh. He had her pegged, didn't he? She actually liked this. It was easier to be herself around him and she hadn't had that in quite some time. Mindy always had to act calmer than she was and hold her tongue when people really deserved her worst.

"Kevlar and leather. Purple on black. No latex for me. It doesn't move well." She tried. It just didn't work. Plus, kevlar worked bette under leather. "My dad trained me to go up against the mob as revenge for framing him and having him put in jail. Now? I fight the head mobsters son and his merry band of assholes."

His lips were soft against hers. Warm and welcome and she was happy to kiss him in return. She pulled away for a moment, forehead resting lightly against his and a soft smile on her lips.

"Find me. I'll follow you anywhere."
