Summary; Bruce has ended up treating several of the Circus' victims and now they're cluttering up his lab and apartment. Open post for people to visit Luke, Serrure, and Asami or pester Bruce (and possibly Sif)

Bruce's lab and apartment hadn't been intended as a makeshift hospital ward, but there they were. He'd set Asami up in his bedroom and Luke and Serrure were still kept in separate rooms to keep their magnetism from dragging their wounded bodies back together.

He's immediately available by network, but at the moment he's in his kitchen brewing up some chamomile tea. More accurately the water's heating and he has his forehead pressed against the stainless steel door of his fridge.

[ooc: Just set up threads for the various temporary residents for easy visitation.]

Oh, that's--thank you! Sif. Sif, it's good of you to be here. [He leans up, pulling his shoulders away from the wall. He has to blink a moment, to adjust to how he's sitting, and then he starts shoving himself more upwards.]

[She's...not nurse quality, let it be known. Carrying an injured companion all the way home? She can do that just fine. But cooing and simpering around a sickbed, all ready to serve, well that is one part of her manners as a lady she has not adapted to well.

So she ends up pushing him back down gently.] You have stitches that might tear if you make brusque moves.

I already tore those! Bruce. Bruce already tore them and I believe they've magic...no. They'd my magic in them. My shoulders, Sif. They are still open, and missing in sections.

[He lets her push him down, though.]

Yes, you are a work of art and such. But let's not cause any more bloodloss.

[She pulls away, and takes the glass, setting it in his hands with a small smirk.] Lest they think I caused it.

[He grips the glass carefully in both hands, tries to drink it, and instantly spills a quarter on his front. He gasps, and then has to put it down because he's started laughing. He laughs until tears stream from his eyes.]

Oh, Sif, why would you come in only to stab me, that seems daft.

[Ah. What a mess. She gets the glass out of his hand before he makes it worse, and just rolls her eyes at his laughter. This must be the effect of whatever is dripping into his veins through the needle in his arm.]

Come on, up you come. Slowly, though.

I was up, and you pushed me down. You really must make up your mind, you know. [This is also hilarious to him. He starts laughing again.]

I might just have to. Now do you want water or not? [Because she's not going to hover over you like some servant, okay? There are limits to helping any Loki, and she has them.]

I do. I will. I will take it back if I can stop laughing or it will shoot rather fantastically up my nose. [More laughter.] I am glad you are visiting, Sif. Do you care? I am glad you care.

I must, if I am here. [In his room, specifically. Or maybe he's just a mystery. A puzzle. Maybe even a challenge. Who knows; for now, he's just...high.] Tell no-one. I have a reputation to uphold.

Oh, you've a reputation for caring for nothing and no-one? [He takes the water and drinks it, suddenly sober.

But still high.]

That must be a difficult one to maintain.

I must have it, what with everyone acting so shocked when I show them otherwise.

[She stands by his side to make sure no repeat of the previous mess happens.]

No, no, I am not surprised. Only pleased. I like friends. I am fond of having friends. [He manages to drink the water normally, however, and sets the glass down again after.] Have you seen Serrure, yet? Serrure needs people most of all.

I was planning to. [But that surprises her, those words. She pauses and looks at him quietly before taking a step back.]

Why do you say that?

I've lived through much, much worse. Constant worse, you know, all sorts of... But. Serrure is very young. He's not taking this well at all. I would comfort him but what if we were to reattach? He liked that least. I couldn't help, properly, and I can't bring him Thor now.

[She grows silent again. Finds her way to a chair beside the bed, and takes a seat. Does it always come down to Thor, she wonders. Would he miraculously fix it all with his presence?

Perhaps not. Probably not. But she would feel more at ease having someone to follow, and Serrure...she imagines he would have his brother back, one way or the other.

Tired, she leans back in the chair.]

Of the people who believe I have a hardened reputation, he is the first. I known not how much comfort I would be able to bring.

Really? S'roki likes you! You would bring comfort by being Sif.

Comfort by being Sif - now there is something I never expected to hear. [Nevermind from a Loki in the first place. She lets out a small laugh, but is unconvinced.]

I wonder.

He would not do all of your training things if he didn't. I like you. There are many of my relations I am not fond of and you were never one of them, I mean, you're different, but you are still a friend.

We barely know each other here. You like the idea of who I might be, but our relation, whatever it is, has started here.

[She pauses. And almost fondly.] I had forgotten what it was like, to count on the friendship of Loki. Almost.

You may count on two, which is even better than only one lost one. I'd like to know you better, Sif, especially now as you've discovered who I am, and I needn't keep it veiled.

I suppose we could try that. [This week has been so bizzare in itself, that befriending another Loki should not count as anything out of the ordinary. After all, even the one she knew had been a friend, once.]

[He beams, and sort of lunges sideways to grab her hand with two of his, and squeeze it.] Good!

[Welp. Suppose she could give it a squeeze back. Maybe an awkward pat and all.] Are you always this prone to touching?

I like being close to people. Perhaps not as close as myself and Serrure were recently, but I've really only liked it more after being alone for so long. I missed people, properly people, not standing in shadows at the edge of my cave, right here. I know you're here.
