Summary; Bruce has ended up treating several of the Circus' victims and now they're cluttering up his lab and apartment. Open post for people to visit Luke, Serrure, and Asami or pester Bruce (and possibly Sif)

Bruce's lab and apartment hadn't been intended as a makeshift hospital ward, but there they were. He'd set Asami up in his bedroom and Luke and Serrure were still kept in separate rooms to keep their magnetism from dragging their wounded bodies back together.

He's immediately available by network, but at the moment he's in his kitchen brewing up some chamomile tea. More accurately the water's heating and he has his forehead pressed against the stainless steel door of his fridge.

[Bruce tries not to hover, but he's right beside Luke, ready to help him if the pull grows too strong.]

I'll make it quick. I just want to make sure nothing weird's happening under there. Or at least nothing weirder than usual.

[His magic may be gone, but Luke is still much stronger than an ordinary human. He makes it to the table, only stumbling slightly, and clambers onto it.]

It's alright. I don't mind in the least. Like I said, this is...you've given me more for this, and everything other than I've ever had.

You're not such a bad guy most of the time. [Bruce is gentle as he peels off Luke's dressings.] You might not like me as much now. I'm just going to clean this.

I don't try to be, really. I don't...you know I? [He closes his eyes.] I don't imagine there's anything that could.

[The cleaning is mild, just a clean cloth and cool water. He keeps his touch light and works quickly.]

What? [His eyes shut a little more tightly. Even with all of the painkillers, the wounds still feel pretty intense.] I don't remember. What were we talking of?

How you're not such a bad guy. [He prefers doing this to people he doesn't know and care about. Hurting a friend is difficult.]

Thank you. I think the same of you. My shoulders are exactly the same, aren't they?

Your opinion is suspect. [Time to reapply the bandages.] I could lie to you, but you're a big boy, yeah, they aren't healing at all.

Then by that virtue, so yours would be, and it all works out equal. [A deep sigh.] I didn't expect so. The rest of me, my. The injection disappears, absorbs at the same rate, so that part is the same. It is only this. A cut elsewhere, I think would heal as usual. Is there anything you can sense, in my shoulders? With the science. Yours.

No. Nothing. [He's working quickly and doing his best to be dispassionate about it.] There's nothing overtly unusual about your wounds other than their refusal to heal.

Nothing injected at all? I will come off the drugs if it will help to find a sample of. Well, there must be a reason. This is a very long--it is very long for a curse. I don't like being pulled apart, in...I want my magic.

I don't have any experience with anything that would inhibit your magic. I'm sorry.

No, it's not... It wouldn't be. [He makes a sad noise.] Are you nearly done? Can you give me a bit more than what's...I want to be unconscious, please.

Almost done. Just a little more. [He'll just stop talking to focus on getting the bandages replaced.]

Luke... I can give you something to help you sleep, but you're just going to wake up again.

I know. I'm using up an awful lot of your supplies. I don't mind, you know, if you need them. I don't mind.

With this lab I can synthesize pretty much anything I want, I'm more concerned with ending up with a junkie Loki on my hands. [What a horror that would be.]

A which? [No, but he can work out the idea, probably.] I've had years and years and years, Bruce, and I've yet to find anything I like more than fire.

I can't keep you knocked out forever, and Serrure needs you.

Yes. Yes, he does, it's true. I know you're right. Perhaps I could move to his room and you could knock me out for just a little while?

[He thinks about it, not wanting to tell Luke no, but not wanting to have the two of them stuck back together again.]

If I put a partition between the two of you to keep you separated, we can do that. Serrure would probably appreciate the rest too.

[Luke chews the inside of his cheek a moment, before nodding.] Alright. I shall take that.

Then I'll arrange it. Just give me time to get everything set up. You can stay there for now.

Ok. [He feels younger and smaller than he's felt for ages.] I'll wait.
