When; Saturday, 10/27
Rating; Unknown, but Circus-related body horror in many threads
Characters; Bruce Banner, Luke, Serrure, Sif, Asami Sato, open to anyone in City Solutions or with a good reason to be there
Summary; Bruce has ended up treating several of the Circus' victims and now they're cluttering up his lab and apartment. Open post for people to visit Luke, Serrure, and Asami or pester Bruce (and possibly Sif)
Log;
Bruce's lab and apartment hadn't been intended as a makeshift hospital ward, but there they were. He'd set Asami up in his bedroom and Luke and Serrure were still kept in separate rooms to keep their magnetism from dragging their wounded bodies back together.
He's immediately available by network, but at the moment he's in his kitchen brewing up some chamomile tea. More accurately the water's heating and he has his forehead pressed against the stainless steel door of his fridge.
[ooc: Just set up threads for the various temporary residents for easy visitation.]

[ The towel's tossed around his shoulders as a precaution. Brushing her fingers through his hair, she measures the length in her fingers and begins snipping a little off the back. ]
It's a little curly.
[ Springy. ]

I just let it have its way and spare a lot of fighting.

It's very nice. [ Humming thoughtfully, the trimming takes up most of her attention. ] Did you know? Before I came here, I'd never seen someone with blond hair before. Or red, or ... pink. We only have brunettes back home.

[He's sure he's been in stranger situations than this, but it's high-level strange to have a young woman who's been magically tranformed into something like a faun in his bed trimming his hair.]
Blondes seem to have originated in colder climates in my world. We have a range of physical adaptations to varied climates.

So do we, just nothing flaxen. [ Only Mako otherwise knows, but what she says next is light enough for chit-chat; with Bruce, anyway. ] I have Fire Nation blood on my mother's side. There's some Earth Kingdom in there too, hence my green eyes.

[ Smoothing through his hair, she leans over a shoulder to take a peek down at his eyes. ]

I'll keep that in mind.
[
Talk about being patently ridiculous.Ruffling his hair to slide the longer strands at the crown between her knuckles, she forces herself to lean back, break the look and clear her throat. Snip, snip. What had they been talking about? ]You're very Earth Kingdom-y. You can be so helpful and obliging, then you'll dig in your heels to say something that would be gritty, if I didn't mind ... or maybe it's meant to be and I'm just not getting offended around you as much as I should.
no subject
Gritty? I wonder if that means the same thing where you're from as where I'm from. I'm not trying to be offensive, I can tell you that much.

[ She blows on his neck to free up those strands, smiling as she slides into fashionable street-talk. ]
You'll be hitting on all sixes, not a rag-a-muffin in sight to razz.

That's a complete throwback to 20s or 30s slang where I'm from. I won't even try to use modern slang from my world, I'd just sound clueless.

[ Enough hair is left to flop forward over his brow, though not to get in his eyes. Peeling gentle fingertips through, the greyer areas near his temples are next ... maybe once she's finished working out the 'knots'. ]
Use some of your slang. C'mon.
no subject
I don't know. You'd be better off asking the Serrure. He pays attention to that stuff. My slang's probably 20 years out of date anyway.
no subject
[ Well, he obviously shouldn't have such nice hair then. Hmph. ]
Have a think, there's no rush.

Quit your hotsy-totsy, I can't handle you. [ To give her hands something to do in the same radius, she brushes off his shoulders. ] So cool, Bruce. Cucumbers don't compare.

How's the haircut coming? [Deflect deflect deflect.] Can I peek yet?

[ It's a mission and a half not to draw it out, but since he's getting antsy she does her best. Tucking the towel under his collar, she's careful when snipping away a would-be rat-tail, even breaths falling over the nape of his neck. ]
Stay still, doc.
no subject
Okay, boss. Not moving.
no subject
I like it when you call me that.
[ His hair is ruffled once more, then he's set free as she folds the towel carefully off his shoulders so as not to make a mess. ]
no subject
Yeah, remember that when I'm grading your first homework.
[Brushing away stray hairs and running a hand inside his collar to get others before he runs a hand through his hair.]
Feels better. Thanks.
[He'll just gather up the towels and head for the bathroom to... put them in the hamper. Not to lean on the sink and catch his breath or anything.]

[ Sending him off with a smile, she takes the opportunity in his absence to run a hand through her unruly hair and take a quick drink. How her throat ever got so dry is beyond her. Completely.
A hand touches her cheeks and she rolls her eyes, consciously willing the blood away from a pinked face. ]
no subject
It looks good. Thanks again. Are you hungry now?
no subject
[ Taking a piece of fruit, she toys with it. ]
Didn't you need to check on the others?
