Someone's getting married.

Charlie was married. Charlie McGee, the girl who couldn't get close to anyone back home for more reasons than she thought fair, found someone in the City to marry and that someone was, of all people, Merlin.

The ceremony itself had been nothing short of stunning, right in the center of Xanadu and even though she won't admit to it later (Except to Merlin because he had the best view of it), she teared up a few times during the ceremony. When it came time for vows, she was nervous, hands shaking slightly but when they were finally announced as husband and wife and Charlie could kiss Merlin, she suddenly felt so incredible about everything. All nervousness was gone and all she could feel was ridiculously happy.

Now at the reception, food and cake courtesy Rapunzel (And the dress, too), Charlie was busy speaking to guests and enjoying one of the most surreal moments of her life.

"Yeah." He nods and rubs a bit at the side of his neck. Humm. "Now if only we could be without the curses, it would almost be perfect."

Charlie hears the smile, grinning as well and huffing out a soft laugh. Good. He liked it. Not that she had doubts, it was just nice to have it confirmed. She squeezes his hand as well before pulling it away.

"I really ought to get back to my dressing room. They'll come looking. I love you. I'll see you soon."

And with some...no...a lot of reluctance, Charlie turns to head back to her room. They'll be together again in a few minutes and everything will be fine.

"A hospital is no place for a newlywed," he chastises gently, but his tone is fond. "Will you be broadcasting the fireworks over the network? I'd like to see them."

[Setsuna didn't want anything to do with weddings at the moment, but he went anyway, to support Charlie, and make sure there were white roses and growing flowers like there were supposed to be. He approached her and Merlin after, giving them a somewhat less than lackluster smile - it was the best he could summon, but it was still sincere, even if not his usual level of cheerful.]

Congratulations, Charlie. Sorry I didn't bring you a gift. [He leaned in, the attempt to give a light hug.]

Mercy rolled her eyes at him and smiled. "I have great faith in your creativity."

"That might be too much to ask for," Mercy said with a smile. "But you probably won't mind them as much, knowing that you're going home to Charlie at the end of the day."

[She hugged herself as if trying to wrap her arms around all that happiness.]

I can't even imagine what it must be like.

"It's a joke, really. Necromancers tend to have zombie minions. I made them -Jake is in my other pocket - and they do whatever I say, so they're like my minions."

Oh hai friendly person. Jasper will try and climb Merlin if allowed.

"I've noticed," Charlie says, giving Pascal a smile. "Thank you, Rapunzel. Something to snack on would be fantastic."

Something similar to fire? It's kind of my thing. [And with that, Charlie holds a hand up. A ball of fire appears a moment later, hovering just above her palm. She keeps the heat on it low so it's more reds and oranges and yellows than anything else before it simply vanishes.]

Wow. [Guess what Charlie just caught onto, Mister Ryan? This is going to make her blush like a fool for a good long while.] Thank you. My friend Rapunzel made it.

Are you sure? [Charlie's watching Saya's face with concern.] Can we talk when I get back from my honeymoon?

[That's Charlie for she's not dropping this any time soon.]

It's not. [It's impossible back home for her. Not that she was looking there. She'd have to start the relationship based on lies and that's not good for anyone. At least here she could be open and honest and herself with Merlin.]

It's an open bar. You can get whatever you want, whenever you want.

[Saya nods. She doesn't put words to her agreement, possibly because she's nervous that she won't want to keep it.]

There's party now, yes? [Someone told her there might be and, shock of shocks, she's hungry.]

Oh, but he feels a bit as if hearing Charlie's voice was just what he needed. Feeling a little lighter, he closes the door again and goes back to preparing. He didn't have any doubts or anything, but reminders of why he's doing this are always good.

He raises his eyebrows. "Then, with that, I shall prevail." It's joking, but not overly much - encouragement is nice.

Merlin shakes his head. It would be, sadly, apparently. Ah, well.

"No, I don't think so either."

Charlie and Arthur and all those pets. Life is good.

Definitely allowed. Merlin will even help along, before he finally straightens up.

"Necromancers?"

He tries not to show that word makes him a little wary. He's had very bad experiences with necromancy.
