Word has been spreading, in a quiet sort of way-- a tasteful poster here, an idle comment there, a few personal invitations (with varying degrees of detail) delivered by Isaak himself, and (of course) the polite request that others pass the word along. Simple, but (one hopes) effective.

The Wolf's Den is luxurious without being overly ostentatious; it's warmly lit and comfortable in spite of its newness, with comfortable leather seating and a well-stocked, under-lit bar. No detail has been overlooked-- and, perhaps, no expense spared-- from the hardwood floor to the ornately-tiled ceiling.

There's plenty of food and drink to go around, and as the evening gets underway, Isaak is contentedly mingling among his guests, socializing and keeping an eye on things in equal parts.

So, have a drink; make some new friends. Everyone is welcome, here.

But, that aside, Isaak is unquestionably pleased to see Chekov here, coming over as soon as he catches sight of him, cutting easily through the crowded main room.]

Did you think I wouldn't? [Watch the vodka, sir.] I approve of your drink selection. The bar looks very nice, as well.

[All the skepticism is in jest, of course. Chekov is too secure in himself to be threatened by visiting a gay bar, he suspects, and he cannot think of any other reason to refuse.]

I do think it's come together nicely. If the crowds keep up like this I'll have nothing to complain about.

[He'll be a customer, anyway. He is indeed very secure and Isaak's bar has a better atmosphere than most. As a bonus? There are very few women to fawn over him and call him adorable.

As for the fawning? He'll learn. He may not be pleased, but he'll learn.]

[There are far worse people Chekov could choose to trust. For all that he's a dangerous man, Isaak believes in loyalty; he believes in rewarding it, in treating those who serve him well as well as they deserve. Which means anyone who unduly hassles Chekov might have Isaak to answer to.

But it would be unjust (and, if we're honest, far less amusing) to put out a moratorium on flirting.]
