Party Plotting (Closed)
When; Sometime after This
Rating; Nothing horrible
Characters; Theo and Al Capone
Summary; Theo has found out about Meyer's birthday and talks to Al about what to do for it.
Log;
Yawning heavily because of the stupid curfew's gotten Theo up during the day, he drops onto a bar stool and manages a bit of a grin. He's made sure Meyer is ABSOLUTELY not around because that would be bad.
"Hey! Al! We need to talk about the boss," he says waving him over. "And something caffeinated, please!

"Don't tell me he's capitalizing on the revolution."

"No. Do we have a calendar around here now or something?"
no subject
He sips his coffee black and sighs happily.

He wafts his hand dismissively; it's not worth getting into. He leans on the counter, curious now.
"How'd you find that out anyway?"
Somehow it doesn't seem to be a topic that just comes up in normal conversation.
no subject
He'll probably sleep all day.
"And I asked him when his was."
no subject
"Somehow I don't think he's much for celebrating. Not on his own anyway."
no subject
"Not likely. I had to twist his arm to let me get him some cake and ice cream," Theo says. "I told him that the three of us could have drinks and cake after the casino closed on his birthday. Just a quiet thing. Maybe a gift or something."
no subject
"We can do better than that."
Meyer's a business acquaintance, but he's come to know enough about him that he operates off the sidelines. Though it's not his own personal style, the other man's discretion is admirable. That said, the guy really does need to lighten up.
"He'd probably shit himself if someone made a big to-do about it."
Judging by the tone in his voice and the forming smirk, he thinks this idea has more than potential.

Theo sees your smirk Al and agrees with it.

"Alright, so when's his birthday?"
Depending on the time they have to work with, this can either be very elaborate operation or something that needs to be thrown together more quickly.
no subject
"You'll love this. July 4th. Which, considering how this place seems to operate means that something interesting will happen." Theo's good at picking up patterns. If you're trying to see who's cheating you on the books, you learn to do that fast.
So, they have time.

"Then we'll make sure there's fireworks." It may not be an applicable holiday for everyone, but he's an American through-and-through, just finding new ways to live the dream no matter where he ends up.
"We could probably get him when he comes into work-- have something read to pounce on him when he least expects it. I could grab some girls--"
A pause in the excitement.
"Maybe one of us should come in with him, you know, make sure he isn't carrying anything."
Guys that don't like surprises are best left unarmed.
no subject
"I'm going to assume you mean non-literal fireworks." Theo has been raised in America and even born there but his parentage makes it so that he's not a legal citizen. Still, he enjoys some of the holidays.
"What sort of girls?" Theo asks definitely curious. "I could come in with him."
no subject
Both of them know how he gets when things get roughed up inside. Best not to test the waters any further.
"I know a few. Anywhere there's a party, they'll be there. If you know any, pass the word along."
no subject
"You know what might be fun? Girl in a cake."
Theo is just going to go full out bad ideas here.
no subject
A clap on the shoulder and a refill of coffee suggests he approves of this mindset.
"Make sure he's swarmed by 'em, front and center in front of eveyone. The guy won't know what hit him."
no subject
"Not wearing much, of course. Maybe some glitter."
It's kinda like planning a sort of demented bachelor party.
