Summary; The celebrations continue, and the Anonymous regime has summoned guests that Citizens might (not) prove very thrilled to see! As opposed to other Fourth Wall events, all visiting characters will have been invited to the City, or they must arrive here of their own will.

There's so much to do and so much to see in this City of cities. From tromping through Xanadu, long walks along the shore, shopping in the Square, hunting in the forest, meeting a contact in the Underground, or getting as many answers as possible at the Welcoming Center how can anyone decide on just one. In three days time so much can be done!

Shops and restaurants are having specials. Happy hour has become happy days in some bars. This is quite the occasion! When the City decides to celebrate, it becomes contagious. Why not smile and strike up a conversation with a stranger? After all, a stranger is a friend you haven't met yet.

[Detective skills don't mean that you can read minds. Cooper can see the damage but not the cause. Something happened. P2 pup Sherman get put in his place? It's too subdued for that. Also that would be ample cause to call asshole.]

Getting along isn't required. It helps. But it's not required.

[Cooper didn't like Lucero. Not at first. Now that he's gone there's no way and no point of saying to anyone how great of a guy he was. His reputation preceded itself. Is Sammy Bryant like that?]

[Dewey who probably cares for John more than most on the force. Two sides to everyone around here.]

[Keep barking. He doesn't mind. For not wanting to fight Cooper sort of likes it. It doesn't feel like sandpaper.]

I trust Dewey. You should too. He's had fuck ups, I'll be the first to say that but he's a great cop. I figured you could stand to learn something from each other.

[Freddy's not one to insult the intelligence of his fellow officers (actually he is, some co-workers you just don't get along with) but he can't help noticing the lack of a full kit belt on this guy.]

[Vague and somehow to the point. Maybe John will pick it up easily.]

[He freezes. And even though he's got the belt on. The weight is different. It's like walking around knowing that in an emergency you can't perform right.]

[Freddy doesn't know what's up. He doesn't know why he's without his belt. For all he knows John Cooper arrived just about to put it on. There are so many reasons, the last one he'd consider is suicide watch. Rubber gun squad shit.]

[Ten including Larry's. The kid gets down on one knee to unholster his sidearm. It's small, easy to conceal, and a well-placed shot can be lethal.] It's not much but.

[Any firepower helps. Right here on the street. It's not that crowded and they're both professionals who can make the exchange look like nothing because Freddy assumes John's going to take it.]

[Cooper starts to to open his mouth. And then he stops.]

I know it's not protocol.

[One cop to another. Or bringing your own arms to work, that's a slippery slope of accountability. He doesn't hesitate though. Not for a second.]

[Left to right, eyes always moving and vigilant. Say no. Keep to orders. But what if, what if... The dilemma keeps on playing back and forth, back and forth right up until he puts his hand out.]

[Freddy nods. Who ever suspects Freddy Newendyke of being a cop just by looking at him? It works to the kid's advantage. Sometimes too well. He notices the shift in Cooper's eyes but to Freddy he just considers it a reaction to a good gesture in truly inexplicable circumstances.]

[ just because people are aware doesn't mean you need to drop answers to questions left and right. or not try and look inconspicuous. which one of them was actually down on earth in 1996? that's right, him. you were up on the ship playing captain and getting voyager on the six o'clock news. :p ]

Kind of noticed that. I've already had some run-ins with Starfleet's best and brightest. Though, young and brightest is more like it. I don't recall Kirk being that young when he got his first captaincy.

[ he takes a bite of his own pizza. who even knows what slice he's on. having access to real food and not having a limitation on how much of it you can eat is amazing. ]

Real food that Neelix didn't cook. Eat it, Harry. I promise you won't regret it. Don't make me order you to eat pizza.

So however screwed up this place is, it's like a vacation for you.

[ What will Tom say to a captain to answer that? Haha. ]

[ give him a second as he swallows this bite of pizza. ].

Seven! Looks like they're trying to collect the whole set.

[ he won't say why. he won't say that the last time he saw earth, it was in the wrong time period and he was too busy running around with an astronomer from the 20th century, trying to get a time ship out of the hands of a madman to really sit back and enjoy it. ]

[ at least the first person he'll be bumping into isn't someone from the wrong century? ezri may be a ways off from geordi's point in the timeline (as is likely evident by her uniform and the combadge variant), but at least she's not from the past. ]

[ is that uhura? gaila spots her across the way when she turns away from jim, not having expected to see her old roommate so soon. ]

[ human would be wrong, though. she's not human, but she can see how from the pov of someone not used to mingling with aliens, how an orion in a starfleet uniform can look like someone who decided to cover themselves in body paint this morning. ]

[That voice acts like a rope, tugging Uhura forward.]

[Prepare yourself for a bear hug, girl, because Uhura doesn't plan on letting you go unless she starts accidentally breaking bones.]

[She does, reaching out to take his hand. Public displays of affection -- not something they usually do, but damn it she thought he was dead and even though Kirk had told her otherwise, she prefers the proof of Spock's hand in hers.]

I'm glad you're all right. [The words are weak, but she doesn't want to overwhelm him with a display of emotion.]

[It is not something he usually indulges, but after the emotional wreck he was meeting a Jim who was alive, he allows it. Another concession, another lack of control, but it is Nyota. He can afford it, and a brief flicker of relief and gratitude meet her as she takes his hand.]

[It's not a Vulcan expression, but logic be damned.]

Didn't you read the invitation? [arching an eyebrow] We're in a place called "the City." This imaginatively named place exists outside of time and space as humanity currently understands it. [She waves a hand dismissively.] The rest is just details.
