Mingle Log!
When; July 5th through July 7th!
Rating; G+
Characters; Open to ALL, 4th Wallers and Citizens!
Summary; The celebrations continue, and the Anonymous regime has summoned guests that Citizens might (not) prove very thrilled to see! As opposed to other Fourth Wall events, all visiting characters will have been invited to the City, or they must arrive here of their own will.
Mingle! Explore~!
Log;
There's so much to do and so much to see in this City of cities. From tromping through Xanadu, long walks along the shore, shopping in the Square, hunting in the forest, meeting a contact in the Underground, or getting as many answers as possible at the Welcoming Center how can anyone decide on just one. In three days time so much can be done!
Shops and restaurants are having specials. Happy hour has become happy days in some bars. This is quite the occasion! When the City decides to celebrate, it becomes contagious. Why not smile and strike up a conversation with a stranger? After all, a stranger is a friend you haven't met yet.

He looks happy. When was the last time any of them had looked happy--not just relieved-happy, or excited-happy, or even wildly-in-love-happy, but the sort of happiness that comes with having a massive weight lifted from your shoulders?
(There's a joke to be made there, really--that the weight lifted was approximately equal to his exceedingly big head, and circumstances had seen fit to separate that from his shoulders for him. Finnick always did have a wicked streak of black humor, didn't he.)
Famous green eyes alight on the Girl On Fire.]

One day she was there, the next day she was in her hospital room safe. But then she was in the city and she's quite sure she's not supposed to be.
Still, experience is the meat of the writer's meal so she's trying not to be too scared or look too out of place.
She's not all white yet, she's not all gone yet. So there's still fear. Sitting there just as he comes around the corner.]

He stares at the stranger wearing what damn well looks like a tricorder and phaser (sort of), the undershirt and regulation-ish pants knitting together into one conclusion. Jim's straightening and heading through the crowd immediately, breaking into a jog in case the other man across the green escapes his sight. He calls a couple of times to no avail in the cheering throng, then purses his lips and plants his feet as he gets pushed to the side. ]

(Truth is, she's nervous. The Anonymous regime had invited her here and she had accepted, wondering if this could be a way to save her people without having to destroy Heaven's Gate. But the invitation doesn't change the fact that she's in a strange setting with beings of unknown power, and she can't find Hei.)
Tom probably won't notice a little 14 year old girl brushing past him. However, he certainly will notice the absence of his tricorder a few minutes later. (Guess who's never seen Star Trek.)]

After a recent argument, he's fallen into the habit of trying to get in touch with Leonard time and again to no avail. Frankly, Jim's sick to death (argh) of being ignored. ]
Bones. Bones! God damn it, will you pick up? [ Not bothering to keep his voice down, he keeps trying to get through on the city-net device where he plants his feet and adjusts the signal. ] Ancient hunk of junk ... Bones, I told you to keep an open channel at all times! Gah.

cue one very confused green girl. ]
somehow all these st threads are separately timed IDEK
[ Of all the universes, of all the dimensions, his ex had to land in this one. Not that Jim minds, he's just. Pretty taken aback when he turns around to see her across the Xanadu gardens. Is she in a red uniform? Hot. But, anyway, he heads over looking very much as if he just stepped off the Enterprise mid-shift on the bridge; he can't ignore her, she's technically one of his people now.
Oh, Jesus, I'm her superior officer. She's going to hate me even more. ]
rearrange your 4th wall timelines accordingly or play the selective memory game once it's over. ♥

But in the end, it always comes back to the beach, and being that it's July, it's plenty warm enough for him to be out in the water--half expecting her to arrive in the little boat he left her, or possibly on the back of a lion that once turned into a sea mammal before his very eyes.]

But actually, Harold Lee would rather be watching a John Hughes coming-of-age comedy than wandering around the streets of a strange City (albeit a strange City that he's been to briefly once before) looking for his alternate dimension travel buddy. None of his attempts to call Kumar on this phone thing he was given have succeeded and he's getting more disgruntled with every pick up, you asshole that goes unanswered.

he ends up by the Halls of the Missing, eyes landing on the faces that's been put on the walls for everyone to see. he doesn't get a good feeling from it at all. ]

He can't remember following him inside. It's quiet and clean, the walls and ceiling are wide and high so that the echo of footsteps can't be mistaken, even his in regulation boots. He doesn't run over like he did with Spock. Jim stands and stares in the gloaming half-light, convinced the City is seriously fucking with him on a personal and troubling level.
When he speaks, his voice sounds small and boy-like, about as big as he feels. ]

He is a scared teenaged boy. He'd accepted the invitation here because it had sounded like fun, but he can't find any of his other crew members and it makes the experience a lot less exciting and a lot more scary.
He reaches out to grab a drink -- none of these inferior beings can tell him he's too young, HAH! -- and accidentally bumps into a woman.]

He was doing a terrible job of blending right now, however, walking around in his uniform, hardly restraining himself most of the time from craning his neck around and just looking at everything. And everyone. This could be a holodeck simulation with the variety of people.
He did wish Data could have come, though, or Worf, or someone else on the crew. It was a shame that the invite was only for one. He kept wanting to make observations to someone who wasn't there, especially since his comm link wasn't working.
Oh well. He'll wander, and study, and see if he can figure out how he ended up with an invitation on his pillow to coordinates that Starfleet has never seen. ]
