→ you are a stranger here why have you come why have you come
When: August 9th, 10th & 11th.
Rating: R ( for canon typical violence and bad language. )
Characters: James Barnes (
yourbestguysgun ) & you !
Summary: Basically a choose your own adventure log for the pirate curse.
Log:
( ooc: okay so basically this doesn't really have a starter, I just wanted a log where everything could be in one place. basically bucky has been cursed. he was once a sailor in a well known, noble fleet, good at his job and well-liked. then he went missing several years ago. now he's back as a pirate with memory loss, a wicked cutlass, and absolutely no morals.
feel free to have your character run into him, fight him, invade his ship, have him invade your ship, etc etc. he'll be lurking around the more dubious areas of the port all weekend. )

She's got a bandanna pulling back her mane of flaming hair, she's starting to look a little sunburned, and she's dressed more like a man than a woman for ease of movement. Billowing shirt, trousers, sturdy boots, her owl at her shoulder. No bloody way she was staying in a corset if she could help it.
And now Ginny's found Bucky, the first familiar face in this sea of piracy, and she hunts him down through the crowd until she can catch his shoulder.]
There you are.

Whoever he is now, Bucky isn't even close to the surface. ]
Who are you? [ Because she had acted like she knew him. If there is anything he doesn't like about this place it's the haze of forgetfulness that each street gives him. ]

Fuck. Same as the man she's met on the visitor's weekends, the man who goes by James.
Ginny's on her toes, he's so much taller than her and the way he's got her pinned almost has her off the ground and she chokes for breath, hands grappling at the arm at her throat, her owl having flown off in fright.]
Bucky— [Eyes meeting his, dread in her stomach with the way he stares at her without seeing.] Bucky, it's me, it's Ginny.
WHO THE HELL IS BUCKY ????
[ It's practically snarled out, the pressure on her throat lessening but not by much. He could kill her, he supposes. But he hasn't been ordered to and there's something ...
He hears people's footsteps from behind and his whole body goes tense, bearing down on her a little more. It's obvious that he's paranoid, scared of something even, but there's a dangerous quality to it. His voice is a growl of a whisper. ] How do you know me?
CRYING
Hand.
She makes a gasping sound, eyes watering and toes leaving the dock as he bears down on her in his paranoia and she can't answer his question because she: ]
Can't breathe— [Her foot swings and she kicks at his knee, nails digging into his arm.] Bucky.

If you run, I'll slit you from ear to ear, do you hear me?
[ Nothing makes sense, nothing. ]
no subject
Whether or not she succeeds depends on how fast he is.]

You planning on a fight with a stick, girl?

And then she grabs her wand with her left hand and aims, muttering her spell in vicious Latin, and the dock heaves under them both to throw him off balance.]

The hell did you -? [ Too sharp a jerk and he twists, falls down to his knees. ]

You're making me angry now. [ He tries to stand, to get the momentum. He's not afraid to knock her out if he has to. ]

Likewise, mate.
[She pulls her leg and the fabric tears and she kicks out at him, scrambling backwards.]
no subject
I'm no friend of yours.

Ginny manages to get to her knees, pulling herself up along the wall, head turning to look where she can run.]
Let go.

[ He doesn't really want her drawing attention to him. He just needs to get her to where he's keeping half of his booty. So he grins and it's quick and easy to grab her and smack her head against the wall. It's not enough to crack her skull open but enough to knock her out. ]
