Summary; There's no legal drinking age in the City, but who says we can't party like there was one anyway?

This party was four years coming. The restaurant has set aside a large room just for this event and on short notice too. The food is plentiful and of various cuisines, with even a large selection of vegetarian options for those who prefer that. But of course, there is more alcohol than one has ever seen because Angela knows the people she invited and knows quite a few of them have liquor in their veins instead of blood. Rule of thumb: more liquid than solids every time.

Everything's set and ready for the birthday girl to make her appearance, so for the time being, Angela's flitting around the place dressed in more subdued colors than usual, choosing black because no one gets to stand out more than Ginny tonight, and socializing with the few guests that have shown up already.

Sadly, there are no strippers. Ginny nixed that one hard.

[ TRYING NOT TO DROP HIS HALF OF THE BOX. ]

Wait, wait, your cupcakes are going to fall and die, oh my god.

[hexuality]

Oh, for Merlin's sake—

[Where did she pull her wand from? Where's she been hiding it? The eternal question of anyone who knows her and she's wearing a dress with little to hide. She points it at the box and steadies it on a cushion of air, practically levitating the thing.]

Over to the table?

Wow, awesome.

[ But he nods and then follows her and the box to the table. Inside there are about twenty cupcakes, all with uneven icing dicings on them. They're red with bludger-y bats and green with broomsticks and there's one giant one clearly made for her that is shaped like a golden snitch. ]

Okay so they look like a five year old did them but they taste super great?

[hexuality]

[This is the most DELIGHTED laugh coming from her, Stiles. She reaches for the Snitch one immediately, speaking through her laughter, so damn happy.]

Stiles, I love them! Is this one for me?

[studmuffin]

Yep.

[ He grins, pleased that she likes them. ] It's like only fair that the birthday girl gets to catch it, right?

[hexuality]

You're a proper Quidditch expert, aren't you.

[She bumps her shoulder to his, bright and teasing. AND THEN SHE GOES TO BITE RIGHT INTO IT. She grins at him with frosting on her lips, speaking around a full mouth, deliberately messy.]

It's delicious!

[ He probably should be more careful about what he knows but it's nice to cheer someone up like this. ]

Awesome. I was mostly experimenting with the creme so I'm glad it worked out.

You're a brilliant cook, Stiles. And believe me, I'm an excellent judge of that, I grew up eating my Mum's food.

[She licks the icing from her lips, smiling.]

Would you teach me to be a little less hopeless and boring? I know a few recipes but nothing grand.

[studmuffin]

Sure? I mean I'm not the greatest, but -. [ And then! An idea! ] Maybe we should just have a cooking club? Get a lot of people together, swap recipes, that kind of thing. Because I bet the different worlds have super awesome foods that should be shared.

[hexuality]

I wouldn't have anything to swap. I'd just be stealing people's recipes and mucking them up.

[studmuffin]

Well, maybe the first few weeks I could start us up and then you could learn, do some magic-y twist on one of them?

[hexuality]

You don't want me to make trick sweets. People'll start bursting into feathers.

[studmuffin]

[ EYES AS BIG AS SAUCERS. ]

Normally, yes, but since I haven't sussed out the antidote yet—no.

[ He laughs as he takes one of the broomstick ones. ]

One day someone's going to teach me how to make magic cupcakes and you're going to regret not being the one.

No, because if anyone's going to teach you about magic cupcakes, it would be my brothers.
