Summary; There's no legal drinking age in the City, but who says we can't party like there was one anyway?

This party was four years coming. The restaurant has set aside a large room just for this event and on short notice too. The food is plentiful and of various cuisines, with even a large selection of vegetarian options for those who prefer that. But of course, there is more alcohol than one has ever seen because Angela knows the people she invited and knows quite a few of them have liquor in their veins instead of blood. Rule of thumb: more liquid than solids every time.

Everything's set and ready for the birthday girl to make her appearance, so for the time being, Angela's flitting around the place dressed in more subdued colors than usual, choosing black because no one gets to stand out more than Ginny tonight, and socializing with the few guests that have shown up already.

Sadly, there are no strippers. Ginny nixed that one hard.

"We can totally play lacrosse with him."

It was truth or dare.

"Yeah. We can. Maybe we can see who else is interested."

"Isaac'll probably play with us. But I'm making it a rule that we have to even out the powers. I claim Clint."

"You claim Clint?" he asks, leaning his head forward. "You can have Clint."

Eyeing him.

"I mean obviously you and Isaac will be a team."

"Why obviously?" he asks. They could be on any teams.

"Because you're bros now?"

"We're bros?" he asks, thinking about that. "What do you mean? It's not any different." It is. He doesn't completely see it. But, there's something there. Isaac does what he asks. And he's moved in. Sure, that's all true.

Stiles just pulls a face and shrugs his shoulders, "You guys are friends now. I'm used to the whole reluctant allies thing."

The correlation of their two respective situations is completely lost on him, but.

"We're not reluctant," he explains. "He's a friend, now. And he's your ally." That hasn't changed, not since he's gotten here. But, they are friends. Does it really bother Stiles that much? "He's our ally."

"But we were."

He remembers the good old days.

"You mean with Gerard," he says, remembering the year before.

He goes ever so slightly tense.

"With everything."

"He's changed. Derek influenced him and he was new to being a werewolf. He's less of an ass now." He's actually fun to be around. And, Scott feels bad for him. He knows what Isaac's been through so he cuts him a lot of slack. He can still see that freezer.

He thinks about Erica, about Boyd too. What would they make of Derek as he is in the City?

"Sure, okay."

"How is it living with him?" Never mind Scott used to...

"It's okay, he's ... more mellow?"

Stiles doesn't actually mind it. It's not helping his rampant jealousy though.

"He is." He cleans up after himself, actually pays attention that he's in someone else's house. Though, this one is Derek's. "You guys get along?"

"Sort've."

He doesn't really think about it much. He just knows Isaac is a lot easier to deal with right now.

"Sort of is better than not?" he asks.

"Yeah, I guess. He's different from when he was last here. More independent."

"That's not a bad thing." And also, not really the Isaac he remembers. Though, he did come with the idea for Derek. He mostly remembers them being bros. He should talk to Isaac more. It's so weird not to.

"Being out of Beacon Hills is super weird, right?"

"Yeah. I'm not used to it. I don't know if I'll ever be." Completely used to it. "It's all you've ever known, it's all I can remember." His life started when he and his mother had moved to Beacon Hills.

I used to be super into the idea of leaving. You know, college and getting out? But now - now I miss it and it's so weird.
