No enemies to call my own
When: September 11th, early evening
Rating: PG-13 I assume. Although he's a wild one so you never know...
Characters: Isaac Lahey > Open
Summary: Its raining, and what better way to spend your evening than holed up in the corner of 'The Blue Light' even if he can't get drunk.
So it had been an interesting few days since he got back. Between arguments, bitterness and actually finding some comfort in the people here. He'd just head out by himself and been drawn to the sites and sounds of a bar. Luckily Stiles had hooked him up with a fake ID, even if he couldn't get drunk it was the right side of 'chilling' to be able to sit with a drink in his hand.
The extra added bonus was that his friends might not necessarily look for him here, not that he didn't want to be found. It could be nice to just sit and talk for a while, forget about some of the bad things and get back on track with enjoying his life.
As it stands, he's alone with a drink, listening to the Swing music with a soft smile on his face. He felt relaxed, which was probably the most important part of his plans for the evening. He had nowhere to be, no-one expected anything of him tonight and the night was young...

She's not.
She ducks inside before she can really think too much about it, and even though she's technically not legal enough to drink, she hangs out by the fringes of the bar until she spots a familiar face, a slump of shoulders. She quietly pulls up a seat next to him, nudges his arm with hers.
"Hi."

"Hey."

"I didn't peg you as someone who drowned their sorrows."

"You're alone, in a bar, drinking. I'd say that means you've got something on your mind." She glances down her shoulder at him, frowning lightly. "You want to talk about it?"
no subject
"Uh, not really? I mean... pack stuff. Same old same old." Plus it wasn't the kind of thing he wanted to talk about with Allison around, he liked to keep things light.
no subject
"Same stuff, different day?" she counters, with a half-smile. When it's her turn to order next she doesn't hesitate before requesting a beer, and when it comes she takes a small sip, sighing softly.
"It's probably a good thing you didn't run into me before now. Last weekend I was unable to say anything without being totally and completely honest. It was - well, it was interesting." Especially since there's one or two things she's been holding back - and for good reason.
no subject
"Really? You shoulda told me... I'd have come to listen to some truths."
no subject
It's not like she plans on stabbing him again any time soon, but keeping him on his toes isn't a bad alternative.

"So how's things?"

That's when he noticed old yeller. That familiar old sorrowful curly-top. Stiles takes his drink and pays and heads over.
"Drinking alone is very sad, Isaac."
no subject
"At least it doesn't affect me."
no subject
He grins as he plops himself down in the seat across from Isaac, his humour written right across his face. "Besides, I'm playing treat him mean with the bartender. He can't think he's my only friend."

"Sometimes. That guy isn't really big on telling me the flaws of my ID. Besides, I got kicked out of the last place after Captain America started cracking down. It's a science, I stay one step ahead of the game."
no subject
"Great, good to know you became an alcoholic in the last year here." Because hah, if only Isaac could get drunk he might solve all of his problems.
no subject
He toasts Isaac with his glass and glances at him over the rim, suddenly serious, "So why are you out here?"

Noticing the look on his face, "Try the umbrella drinks. Lydia recommended them."

"Should I look out for more of you or are you all here?" It's light, playful, because every other week another seems to show up, not that he's complaining. "It helps when you've got people. Unless you know people like Stark and then it's debatable."
