Today is the day of the McCall-Lahey Reunion Tour.

It should feel weird that the day after he rekindles things with Allison temporarily, that he's planned on surprising Isaac. It's no secret that things have been strained between them what with Scott having to hold things back from everyone and generally feeling displaced. He's not used to so much being in flux and, plainly, different than he remembered. But, if there's one thing he's gotten good at, it's adapting.

If only becoming an alpha hadn't screwed with that so much.

He's told himself today isn't about pack, or strained friendships, or uncertainty. Today is a throwback day to the times of the McCall-Lahey union. At one time, Scott felt Isaac was like a brother. They hung out, they talked. He helped Isaac prank the alpha twins. Without knowing it, Isaac not only became his beta, but something deeper. He became a really good friend. It was different than it was with Stiles. Because, Stiles is like a blood brother but Isaac is like an adopted brother who he never wanted to see hurt. And if he did see him hurt, he wanted to do anything he could to make him feel better.

He felt like lately, he wasn't able to.

But, before he and Allison had made what might've been a mistake, she'd given him great advice.

Stop trying to be the alpha and start trying to be their friend that would do anything for them.

That was the gist, anyway. So, when he woke up the next morning, he resolved to do just that. He had to accept that things were how they were. Stiles and Derek were together and Stiles was keeping it from him. His feelings about how crazy that was aside, he knew Stiles was safe and in some ways happy. Allison and Isaac had a connection that he'd perhaps violated or ignored. He feels a little guilty about that and that also might be what fuels his idea this morning.

Maybe. Probably.

At about ten/ten-thirty, Scott slips inside Isaac's room and puts a hand on the covers ontop of him. He shakes him gently.

"Isaac. Wake up." Today's going to be fun. He pushes away the thought, It has to be and simply resolves to let everything else fall away. Today is the McCall-Lahey Reunion Tour.

[affectioning]

"While they're at it, they can do your pretty, pretty nails," he replies, holding his hands up and wagging his fingers. He's glad Isaac missed the day he'd painted his black.

[outofthefreezer]

"Yeah I'm starting to think I'm in desperate need of a manicure." He jokingly swipes at Scott.

[affectioning]

"Keep the talons in, or else we'll have a real problem," he jokes, swiping back.

[outofthefreezer]

"Hey you know the rules, just don't get me excited. Things just get longer and scarier." He's talking about the claws.

[affectioning]

Raised eyebrows greet Isaac as he moves to sit up.

"I think you just admitted to something," he laughs. "I never knew." Not that he'd thought about it. Also, not like he hadn't seen before. Flaccid. In the locker room. "Now I need to fight the urge to get you excited." Joking. Totally and utterly joking.

[outofthefreezer]

"Wait, what?" Because Isaac totally didn't mean to go their, talk about your freudian slips. "Dude I'm talking about my claws..." Although he's totally running over the conversation in his head. "Since when did you have urges to excite me anyway?" Because he will do his best to turn this back on Scott.

[affectioning]

"I know," he replies, meaning well. "I don't?" He hasn't. "I meant claws, too. I mean, I know your meant your claws. I took the joke further." Too far?

[outofthefreezer]

Isaac realizes that he may have jumped the gun a little bit and Scott wasn't actually Psychic and he should probably just calm down with his overzealous refusals of things. He forces a smile. "Yeah uh, we'll just blame that on the caffeine, okay?"

[affectioning]

"Sure," he replies, eyebrows going back down. Huh. He stretches out again, content. They've sidestepped the weird for now. Now, Scott's thinking about it, to. The urge to excite Isaac. He always wanted Isaac to feel good, and to be happy. Arousing Isaac isn't that far a stretch but it's definitely never been something he'd seriously thought about. He deserves it. And Scott would literally do anything for him, if he had to, no questions asks.

He wonders where it came from in Isaac's direction. His mini-confusion and questioning. Like, he'd had an answer he'd wanted to hear.

But, Isaac liked Allison. Right?

[outofthefreezer]

Its a good thing Scott didn't ask anyone these questions because Isaac would have a hard time answering them. It was almost like he'd just become attached to the people who'd helped him in life and was having a hard time pulling apart those feelings, but it wasn't something he wanted to think about too hard because it wouldn't go anywhere.

"Okay, done with sand... what's next?"

[affectioning]

"The apartment, to really be done with sand, then the zoo?" he asks, hopefully. "Crazy other dimension animals?" he asks, before getting to his feet and picking up his towel, shaking it out. Yeah, this'd need to be thrown in the wash.

[outofthefreezer]

"Sounds good. The animals aren't gonna try kill us are they?" Because then Scott would have to Alpha the whole zoo. He stands, helping Scott to grab random crap and lifting his shirt.

[affectioning]

Scott takes his shirt out of the bag but decides it's too sandy so drops it back down. He can walk back without a shirt. It's hot enough.

"I don't think so." Nobody's ever warned him about that. "Stiles would've mentioned it." But, if they do, Isaac and Scott can handle themselves. He grabs up the bag and drops the towel inside as well, starting to head back.

[outofthefreezer]

"Wow you sound so sure." Because he didn't, but he started following Scott regardless, excited about the kinds of animals they'd see, so clearly he's smiling again. This was the most he'd smiled in a long time its a wonder his face hasn't broken.

[affectioning]

"I'm sure enough," he replies, giving Isaac a glance as they hit the pavement again. "Thanks for agreeing to come with me today," he says.

[outofthefreezer]

"Yeah it was a really hard decision to make, I mean hanging out with you or sitting by myself all day... I almost didn't come." He's kidding, it was nice to be dragged out of the house.

[affectioning]

"Luckily, this way, you did come." Or, he will. Zing. Probably not. Who knows. The day is young. He leads the way back to the apartment before letting them inside. Dropping the bag ontop of the washing machine, he returns to his bedroom with Isaac, sitting on the edge of his bed. "Do you want the first shower or want me to?"

[outofthefreezer]

"Its your place, you go first. I'll just chill, get sand on your bed, that kinda thing..." He grins, sitting beside Scott and waiting for him to make the decisions.

[affectioning]

"I need to throw them in the wash, anyway," he says, splaying his hand across the bedspread. He fondly remembers his and Allison's interlude before taking a breath and looking up at him. "Make yourself at home." He stands then, toeing off his flip flops before taking a towel hanging on the back of his door. "Try not to break anything," he jokes, heading out of his room and into the bathroom.

He's just gonna pretty much lie there staring at Scott's ceiling, he does notice a distinct Allison-y scent about the place but thinks nothing of it. They were living together so of course that meant they'd hang out a lot. It was the only perk he could think of to living with them all.

[affectioning]

Scott, divests himself of his swim trunks hanging them over the towel rack in the bathroom. He turns the hot water on, checks the temperature and steps inside. He makes sure to wash his hair and use a lot of soap. He feels so sandy. Finally, when he feels like he's clean enough, he turns the water off and steps out onto the rug, grabbing the towel he'd taken. He dries himself off enough before wrapping the towel around his waist and emerging.

It's been ten to fifteen minutes as Scott steps back into his bedroom, dripping a little bit.

"Was it your turn to take a nap?" he asks with a smile. He moves over to his drawers and opens the top, pulling out a pair of boxer briefs.

[outofthefreezer]

Isaac just smiles. "Not napping, thinking. Big difference." He notices Scott is pretty much naked but at least he could stay unfazed. It was just like the locker room. He sits up, rifling through his bag for the spare clothes he'd brought with him. "You still have hot water, right?"

[affectioning]

"No, I used it all up. Have fun with the cold shower." He jests. He wonders if Isaac's brought "Isaac" clothes with him. Like, a sweater or scarf or tight jeans he realizes he's noticed before. "What were you thinking about?" he asks, closing the drawer and facing him, just holding his underwear. Like he does.

[outofthefreezer]

He frowns. "You better be kidding or I'm taking you back in there with me." Isaac had, of course, brought a sweater and tight jeans with a pair of black shoes. He pretty much throws these on Scott's bed. He was also smart enough to have brought a towel because he figured post-beach showers were in order.

"Just stuff?"

[affectioning]

"You say that like I've never taken a cold shower," he replies, not protesting that, either.

"Heavy stuff?" he asks, moving to sit on his desk chair, he crosses a leg, resting it on another sitting back, possibly giving Isaac a sort of a view.
