Summary: There are no Star Wars people in the City so let's have ourselves a bit of education.

What started off as a brosession quickly turned into a free for all movie night. Not that Stiles minds considering, but it means he has to plan and execute everything a lot more smoothly. So when Saya offers up the equipment they need he jumps at the chance.

Isaac helps cart everything about - werewolf strength, Stiles is envious -, and together they track down a space in Xanadu and fill it. It's not a hot night but it's warm and balmy and nobody's going to end up with pneumonia. Squashy beanbags get borrowed off a particularly hipster coffee shop and placed liberally about the place. They take what they can, couches that fit out of doors and large obnoxious cushions so everyone has a place to settle. There's a fuckton of candy too. Stiles pretty much wipes out a weeks allowance alone getting it and the soda. But if he's doing something he's doing it properly and he texts everyone the time and the place and all but collapses into a beanbag.

When people arrive he'll move. Honest.

"There's totally no need for violence upon my person. I'm squishy and delicate."

"The organisation is less of a secret. But me? It's kinda vital to my position if my identity avoids becoming public knowledge." The Avengers aren't always going to be needed, he hopes, and he plans to stick it out with SHIELD as long as he can. "And it's definitely a habit I've picked up over the years to keep work and personal stuff separate."

"Don't sell yourself short." He takes a minute to look him up and down, though, and then pokes him in the stomach to check on the squishy factor. "Y'know, if you ever wanna build up some bulk, I'd be willing to help out."

"Not gonna lie, you'd definitely pass as older." He winks, because, well, there's no harm, right? "No one'd get close enough, kid, I'd make sure of it."

I'm no saint either, Stiles. Don't worry about it.

"Hey."

Flapping his hands and shoving Clint a little. "I don't know, maybe? I like my ridiculous lifestyle of sleep."

Don't lie to me, Saint Ginny.

I never lie.

The shove barely touches him, but he lets himself flop to the side all the same.

"You could still sleep. But parts of you that you never knew you had will probably ache."

[affectioning]

"You missed older me, then." He's not kidding, though. "Last weekend." Funny he says that.

[Neil nods, honestly a bit more eager about the idea of the play than about the movie but you can't really fault him on that. It's kind of his Thing, you know.]

"If you'll forgive my saying so," and she dimples at him to aid in convincing him to forgive her, "It seems to me the ratio for you between work and personal stuff isn't exactly on an even keel, either." There's a tilt of her head. "But I'm guessing you like it that way? Or are used to it, at least."

Cool. Eat more candy.

[ And with a wave of his hand and a laugh he slopes off. ]

"That doesn't sound like a good time to me, bro."

Uh huh. You sure about that?

"Probably not in the beginning, but after? It feels good. And you reap the benefits."

"You're not wrong," he shrugs, like he's okay with it, or at least aware of it. "Used to it, I guess. And before I got here? Never had much of a personal life to speak of outside of work."

He looks sheepish, because that's something he would have loved to have seen, but he was busy having a pity party. "Is there picture evidence? Be happy to settle with video footage."

"Are you taking advantage of the break at all?" Lydia queries. "I mean, if you have the opportunity. Or has being kind of all work and no play made Clint a shy boy?"

[affectioning]

"Look back on the network... I uh - I was 40...something."

[velveteenwolf]

"Yeah, sure, I'm fine." There's a wave of fingers and he forces a smile, but it's a convenient lie.

No, he's totally fucked, but that's nothing to worry about. He distinctly has that feeling of being the oddman out, here. It's the inverse of the creepy feeling he got with Letha, who always paid too much attention to him. Instead, he's on the other side watching Roman flirt with Lydia. She's a nice girl, or, Banshee, or whatever. Pretty, too.

He's not jealous, so much as he is overcome with a feeling that he ought sit on his hands for fear of somehow putting them where they don't belong. He knows enough to know that sliding away to give them space is about the worst fucking choice he can make. So, he smiles and tries to make it stick.

(He might be jealous; it's just not something he understands.)

"But he's right. It's how we make a living." There's a joke there, in the twist of his lips he uses to downplay that tension that scrapes at what Peter allows himself to notice.
